Supreme Court Says No to Discrimination, Denies Stay in Gay Marriage Ruling

What another banner day in the fight for marriage equality! Arizona’s anti-gay marriage was over turned with no stay on the decision, the AG declined to appeal and Alaska’s stay was lifted today after the Supreme court denied hearing the case. Two more states added to the fastly growing marriage map.

The U.S. Supreme Court declined on Friday to delay any longer same-sex marriages in Alaska following a court decision against the state’s ban on gay nuptials. In a one-page order, the court indicates a stay request by state officials submitted to U.S. Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy and referred by him to entire court was denied.
