Weatherman Sam Champion: ‘I was fat, I was gay, and I was bullied’

Openly gay Champion, who recently left GMA for a top spot at  the Weather Channel, explained why he is an overachiever.

‘I discovered I overachieved because I was fat, I was gay, and I was bullied as a kid,’ he explained. ‘All my life I worked extra hard to have people see past what they saw on the outside.’ ‘I ‘like people, and I was a person who really wanted to be liked.’

I would say his overachieving has served him well.

    I like him. But ummmm he kinda keeps me out. Btw I discovered your blog yesterday and 5 hours later I came up for air. Great Job
