Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah)
11 nasty little senate republicans have introduced a new bill that would protect churches and religious groups tax-exempt status if the oppose gay marriage. Boring! These cockroaches never give it a rest.
The Marriage and Religious Freedom Act would prohibit federal agencies from rescinding the tax-exempt status of churches and nonprofit groups, according to the Washington Examiner. According to the bill’s author and primary sponsor in the Senate, religious liberty is under attack — primarily from the growing national acceptance of marriage equality.
Lets remember that religion is a CHOICE. Sexual orientation is not. This bill should die.
