Bigots Call For Rose Parade Boycott: ‘Gay Wedding Highly Offensive’

The bigots have their panties all in a skidmarked knotted twist over two men exchanging nuptials at this years Rose Bowl Parade on January 1st. 

AIDS Healthcare Foundation will feature the wedding of Aubrey Loots and Danny Leclair, who will be real-life wedding cake toppers. The theme of this year’s parade is “Dreams Come True,” and this is the year that Proposition 8 was struck down by the Supreme Court and couples in California — where the Rose Parade is held — are once again legally able to wed.

According to The Los Angeles Times a Facebook group is calling for haters to boycott the parade. Some anti-gay comments have been posted to the Rose Parade’s Facebook page as well as many of mine take a gander ;) here are a couple of bigots ranting about how their lives have been ruined because two men are getting married.

“I am a 79 year old Los Angeles native and have not missed a parade since I was about 4 years old. I have watched my LAST one due to your decision to allow this unbiblical, gay marriage to take place on one of your floats,” one man wrote.

If two men getting married is the cause for you to boycott the parade you love so dearly, then yes by all means boycott. Your hate will be better served kept in your own home. 

“2 gay men in a ‘wedding’ ceremony is highly offensive to me and millions of Americans,” one wrote. “I can’t think of many things LESS appropriate for families and especially children. It’s completely the wrong venue for a stunt like this.”

Bigotry, ignorance and discrimination is Highly Offensive. Do you know “Millions of Americans” to speak for them? Using children as a pawn in your quest to promote hate and discrimination is even more HIGHLY OFFENSIVE.
