The head of the U.S. Olympic Committee says he expects athletes to “comply with the laws” of Russia during the Winter Olympics in Sochi, including the oppressive so-called gay propaganda law recently adopted in the nation, although exactly what compliance means remains unclear.
Is he fu(king high? If the holocaust was happening today would Blackmun tell Jews in Nazi Germany to obey the anti-semitics laws Or tell a Black person to ride in the back of the bus and use a separate bathrooms? I can assure you this, if either of the above laws were in effect in Russia today, the Olympics would be pulled out of that anti-gay country faster than you can say Putin is a low life scumbag.
“The athletes are always going into countries with laws different than his or her own country,” Scott Blackmun, CEO of the committee, told Russian news source R-Sport this week. “They’re going to agree with those laws in some ways, they’re going to disagree with those laws in other ways. It’s our strong desire that our athletes comply with the laws of every nation that we visit. This law is no different.”
EVERY Olympian should refuse to participate in the games until the Olympics are either pulled from Russia or the country changes it’s anti-gay laws.

The Olympics is very little more (if at all) than a money-making TV show. That’s how it is run. That’s how decisions are made. The Olympic Committee is notoriously corrupt, accepting pay-offs, etc.
Instead of it being about the spirit of the Olympics, it’s solely about the revenues.
