I hope this is a beginning trend. Kevin Grayson who played for the University of Richmond has come out and is sending a message to other athletes.
“Just because you’re gay doesn’t mean you can’t be the athlete you want to be. Doesn’t mean you can’t be a star. Doesn’t mean you can’t go out there and go just as hard as anybody else, if not harder,” Grayson said in an interview with WTVR in Richmond, Va.
During his career, he achieved a long list of accolades. Grayson helped his college team win the national title in 2008 and remains second on the list of all-time receivers in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.
While a torn ligament in his knee kept Grayson from being drafted by an NFL team in 2011, he went on to play professionally in Italy with the Parma Panthers and not only helped the team win the Italian Football League, but was named MVP as well.

Oh, why don’t the guys all coordinate it and all come out on the same day — then we can explode a few hetero brains, and get the whole coming out thing done.
Because every “famous” queer dude want to have his 15 minutes of fame, that;s what we are!!!, we are selfish, by nature.
Bravo; he comments are right!!! There is no differences between straight or gay people; when it comes to their abilities to play a sport or anything else in life (outside the bedroom).
I am not one to out people when they are not ready, but when those who are ready to step out to the world, they have great courage to do so.
I hope more straight people will also step up & support the gay community & show that doesn’t have to be about who you love; it’s about the person you are & what you contribute to this world.
