Former S.F. 49er, Raider Kwame Harris going on trial for assaulting ex-boyfriend…

KWAMEHARRISKwame Harris, a former NFL offensive tackle, appeared in court Monday to face charges that he assaulted his ex-boyfriend in a disagreement that was caused by, wait for it, Underwear and soy sauce. What else would a gay couple fight over?

Harris, was charged with felony counts of domestic violence causing great bodily injury and assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury. The indecent apparently took place last August, with Harris pleading not guilty shortly there after. Was this missed by the gay media or just me? Harris is a former  San Francisco 49ers (2003-07) and Oakland Raiders (2008).

Dimitri Geier, Harris’s ex, were not romantically involved with each other at the time of the alleged attack, which started when Geier poured soy sauce on some white rice while they were dining at a Menlo Park, Calif. restaurant. 

Here is the gist:

According to court documents, Harris and Geier were at Su Hong restaurant in Menlo Park when “Plaintiff (Geier) put soy sauce on a plate of rice, which upset Defendant (Harris).”

“Defendant argued with Plaintiff over the incident for approximately seven minutes and then proceeded to exit the restaurant. Plaintiff stayed inside the restaurant and continued eating. A few minutes later, Defendant returned and informed Plaintiff he would not drive him to the airport and informed Plaintiff that he was going to throw Plaintiff’sbelongings out of his (Defendants’) car. Plaintiff agreed to take a cab to the airport and informed Defendant that he would remove his belongings from Defendant’scar.While exiting the restaurant, Defendant began to push Plaintiff and tried to pull Plaintiff’s pants down, accusing Plaintiff of stealing his (Defendant’s) underwear. Plaintiff tried to leave the restaurant and Defendant followed Plaintiff into the parking lot outside, where the Defendant continued to push Plaintiff and attempted to pull Plaintiff’s pants down.”

The document also states that Harris is accused of punching Geier in the head as well, breaking several bones in his face.

Look, i love my panties and minimal soy sauce also, but seriously? 

All kidding aside, this is no joke for Harris, if convicted he faces up to seven years in pokey if convicted. His trial starts in April.
