Gay bar owned by Anderson Cooper’s boy friend Ben Maisani hosts Obama fundraiser…

There is no better way to raise money for the president than a fundraiser at a gay bar with gogo boys. Love it!

Eastern Bloc closed it’s doors for a private party “GoGo For Obama” that charged $100 minimum cover for Obama’s campaign Saturday night. Bloc is co-owned by Coopers boy friend cutie Ben Maisani.

Apparently 150 people attended that they raised $10,000 bucks. (probably does not even cover the rent. You know NY real estate) 

The event was hosted by model Karen Elson, Harper’s Bazaar editor Derek Blasberg, and hockey player Sean Avery.

“We do these parties for gay porn stars at Eastern Bloc whenever [they’re] in town from L.A.,” said event organizer Mickey Boardman, the editorial director of Paper magazine. “It’s always a room of Village gays, socialites, porn stars, fashion people. . . . We thought, ‘Why don’t we do a go-go thing at Eastern Bloc for [Obama]?’ ”

Unfortunately Coop and Ben were not in attendance…
