 Ryan Idol who shot to fame back in the 90′s with is debut film “Idol Eyes” is attempting to get his 2011 conviction for attempted murder over turned. Ryan’s real name Marc Anthony Donais found guilty of trying to kill his former girlfriend with a toilet bowl.

The attack occurred in 2009 at the ex-girlfriends home in Sacramento CA. the 46 yr old has been in the pokey ever since and is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on September 21st. Their relationship apparently went south when she caught him in bed with another man. Hot!

Idol reasoning for the retrial is “ineffective assistance of counsel.”

“I just hope I can put this whole unfortunate episode behind me and get on with my life,” Idol said in a statement. “I’ve made some big mistakes and let myself and others down, but I’m always amazed at how many people remember me and wish me well. My gay fans, in particular, are an amazing source of support and I really appreciate their thoughts and prayers.”
