$40,000 Dolla Make Ya Holla ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Child…
The little 7 yr old who packed some punch and beat the RNC in the ratings last week is reportedly pulling in 40 grand for the season. TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, is a major hit and I can not get enough of it!
The $40,000 amount seems like pittance compared to the 3 million in views the show pulled in last week, but for a first season show that no one knew would be a hit or not, that is probably an average starting price. I just hope the boo family has smart people in their corner to “redneckognize” what they are worth for season two…
When Thompson’s (big Moma)Toddlers interview containing her reference to “Honey Boo Boo Child” went viral this year (the clip has more than 4.5 million views on YouTube), the cable network offered the “beauty queen” and her family their own spinoff series.
Sources tell THR that the family of six earns merely $2,000 to $4,000 an episode — possibly seeing as much as $40,000 for the 10-episode debut season. (A small “location fee” also might be paid to film in the family home.)
Update: TMZ says that June Thompson (big Momma) made it “clear” that the family gets “a good deal more” than $4,000 an episode, but she wouldn’t say how much.
