Today in bad taste: Aretha Franklin cancels performance at Whitney Houston’s funeral do to illness but performs hours later…Classy!
Aretha Franklin was supposed to perform at Whitney’s funeral, who is her god daughter, however she canceled because of leg spasms but we was well enough to perform that night at Radio City Music Hall.
So Aretha said to rest up for her show, rather than travel for the funeral. She released a statement, saying “heart goes out to my dear friend Cissy, Dionne, Bobbi Kristina and the rest of the family. May God keep them all.”
Really Aretha? I understand some one coming down with an illness, shit happens, but still canceling on a funeral of a loved one and taking the stage only hours later? I love the “class” people have in this day and age…
