I, of course, being the contrarian, right winger I am (money is more important that alleged legal protections, because gays have always won more through family and personal contacts than legal measures) — I would like to point out this — and I know it will bug you — but frankly, I’d rather have a sound economy and fight the bigotry, then to have the half-hearted, nay, lax, “pro-gay” (which is not pro-gay at all, but merely just enough tuckus kissing for the votes, while providing nothing,) and still fight the bigotry. I’m sure the Log Cabin Republican, of which I am not a member, cannot explain this — but Socialism and endless debt like under Obama will bring up ruin — which will affect us all — but all the anti-gay crap of some Republicans will never come to pass – OH I wish I could explain this better in a blog comment, but I cannot — but frankly, I’ll take the cash over the love — for cash will make my life better than all the “Love” allegedly thrown at me my Democrats which merely mouth “I love gays” while having major constituencies like African-Americans and Latinos and Jews which say gays are bad, but somehow the “party” still pretends to be “pro-gay” while “evolving” on the issue as much as anyone else. Yes, the current crop of Republicans are nasty — and frankly, I wish they’;d step it up to show their absurdity, rather than have Democrats pretend they are for me while they are clearly not. Oh I cannot go into more depth here — but it ain’t that simple as Pro/Con for gays, for we are so different. So show me the cash, and I’ll get the love myself, rather than pretend to love, but take my cash.
