Prosecutor suspended for two days for remarks in gay domestic case...

A Lexington County prosecutor served a two-day suspension in May. That was after the victim in a domestic case said the prosecutor dropped a harassment case against the victim's ex-girlfriend. The victim said the case was dropped because the women are gay. It happened in April, inside a Swansea courtroom.

Lexington County sheriff's department records show that Criminal Domestic Violence Prosecutor Nicole Howland was suspended two days, starting May 24, 2011. The case was investigated by the department's Internal Affairs investigator, Major Darren Amick. Amick finished the report on May 24, but the department did not provide the report to WIS until late Thursday.

The sheriff's office charged Cyndi Roland's ex-girlfriend, Marci Staack with harassment in January. After the April court hearing, Howland dropped the charges against Staack. Howland told Roland, "She said that she was not going to try the case because she felt she could not find six jurors to hear the case due to my alternative lifestyle." The case was not re-opened.

So stupid. She cant find 6 jurors? Puleeze lady...

Chord Overstreet dropped from glee....

Dumb move Ryan Murphy. Overstreet has been dropped form the cast and may only make quest appearances next season. Although we like the fact that Darren Criss will now be a regular, they still should have kept Overstreet, hes too cute to drop! We'll miss you fish lips...

Overstreet's tweet: “well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh.”

Calif. School District must Address Harassment after bullied teen commits suicide...

The Departments of Justice and Education reached a settlement agreement with the Tehachapi Unified School District in Tehachapi, Calif., to resolve an investigation into the harassment of a middle school student based on his nonconformity with gender stereotypes. Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 each prohibit harassment based on sex, including harassment based on nonconformity with gender stereotypes and sexual harassment.

In September 2010, Jacobsen Middle School student Seth Walsh committed suicide at the age of 13. In October 2010, the Department of Education received a complaint alleging that Walsh had been the victim of severe and persistent peer-on-peer sex-based harassment while he was a student at Jacobsen. After receiving the complaint, the Department of Education initiated an extensive investigation into the circumstances leading to Walsh's death and, together with the Department of Justice, worked collaboratively with the school district to resolve the violations.

R.I. Gov. Signs Civil Unions Bill...

In a move largely seen as a compromise over the rights that can be afforded to gay and lesbian couples, Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee on Saturday signed into law a bill that legalizes civil unions, making his state the fifth in the nation to allow them.

The bill -- which was signed just over a week after New York legalized same-sex marriage -- will take effect later Saturday, according to the governor's spokesman Christian Vareika.

The law will provide same-sex couples with a host of new state tax breaks, health-care benefits and greater ease of inheritance.

As i posted the other day, there were gay groups asking the Gov. not to sign the bill because it gives religious institutions the ability to discriminate.  On the other side religious groups fear this will be prelude to gay marriage. And i hope it is!!!

Bedroom eyes...

Douchebag of the Day: N.C. speaker Thom Tillis "same-sex marriages are less stable and nurturing"

Thom Tillis is for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Another Bible beating Republican douchebag.

The defense of marriage is one that a number of folks in our base feel very strongly about,” Tillis said, noting the issue would definitely be brought up in a special fall session. “Generally speaking, it polls fairly high across the voter base. It's not a particularly partisan thing.”

Asked how he personally feels about gay marriage, Tillis said “data” show that traditional marriages between men and women are more stable and nurturing.

Okay this is a complete lie! I would like to know exactly where he is getting this "data" from. Considering that the divorce rate in America is over 50% and has been for a number of years and we've only had gay marriage in 5 states in this country for about a total of six years, that 50% rate is the result of only heterosexual marriages. So now let's talk about less stable and nurturing, dumbass.

He expects the measure, which can't be vetoed by the governor, to pass the House with the minimum 72 votes and go to voters in 2012.

As for whether the ballot measure should prohibit same-sex partner benefits given by some businesses and a few local governments such as Asheville, Tillis said he hasn't taken a formal position. deets here

Gays should raise $2 million to take down NOM...

NOM is taking aim at the first Republican they feel "betrayed" them in the New York gay marriage bill passage. NOM's head Brian bottom Brown is screaming like a little bitch, pledging $2 million of NOM's hate money to take down any Republicans who voted for gay marriage. His first target is Mark Grisanti.
"These Republicans, especially who betrayed their party, betrayed their voters, are going to need to be held accountable, and we pledged $2 million to make sure that that happens," said Brian Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage.

Brown says one Republican lawmaker in particular is the top of the list.

"Mark Grisanti's vote was an absolute and total betrayal. Mark Grisanti asked us in his first bid for the Senate in 2008 to support him. He promised that he would protect marriage as the union between a man and a woman,” said Brown. “He not only betrayed us, he betrayed his voters. He is at the top of our target list."

"I'm comfortable with my decision and my vote because I think it was a balance, and whatever NOM wants to do, as I said, that's what makes this country great. Go ahead and do what you’ve got to do" said Sen. Grisanti, (R). deets here

Here is what I think should happen. I think us gays should raise $2 million to dismantle NOM. This organization needs to be taken down. Period.

Judge stops Gov. Scott Walker's anti-gay hospital law....

Douche bag Gov. Scott Walker attempted to stop a law that allowed same-sex couples visitation rights in hospitals. He claimed that it was in violation to the states ban on gay marriage. How insane is that? He's going to take away the right for somebody to visit another in the hospital? That just goes to show you that this was nothing but pure hate against the gays. That's all it is. Blatant hatred and discrimination. What a piece of shit.

The good news is a judge bitch slapped this dumb ass moron attempt at legalizing hatred.
Wisconsin Circuit Court Judge Daniel R. Moeser wrote, "Ultimately, it is clear that Chapter 770 does not violate the Marriage Amendment because it does not create a legal status for domestic partners that is identical or substantially similar to that of marriage. The state does not recognize domestic partnership in a way that even remotely resembles how the state recognizes marriage. Moreover, domestic partners' have far fewer legal rights, duties, and liabilities in comparison to the legal rights, duties, and liabilities of spouses."

"The law is clear—the domestic partnership law does not violate the Wisconsin constitution," said Christopher Clark, Senior Staff Attorney in Lambda Legal's Midwest Regional Office based in Chicago. "The research the court provided in its ruling today is a showcase of material proving that the proponents of the antigay marriage amendment repeatedly told voters in 2006 that the Marriage Amendment would not ban domestic partnership benefits." deets here

Red Sox "it gets better"

NOM just got bitch slapped by Minnesota...

You know how I detest the anti-gay marriage hate group NOM, well Minnesota just delivered them and The Minnesota Family Council a kick in the crotch. The Minnesota campaign finance and Public disclosure Board voted for a resolution that requires corporate donors that donate to campaigns be made public. NOM has fought this complaining that such disclosures would bring the wrath of gay marriage supporters on to these companies. And they're right! because the minute we see whose against us we will boycott their ass and do what ever we can to make their discrimination known. I have no issues with that. Because if you discriminate and support laws against equality then you should have the balls to show your face.

This just goes to show you that NOM is nothing that a bunch of scumbag lowlife dirtbags.

“To require groups, non profits like the Minnesota Family Council, to disclose their donors and make their donors names public would have a significant chilling effect on free speech. Even in Minnesota already it’s gotten heated in some respects,” Prichard told the board. “The concern is harassment, property damage, a chilling effect. If I know I have to disclose my name, I’m not going to get involved with the Minnesota Family Council.”

He added that he had knowledge that in California during the 2008 Prop 8 campaign same-sex marriage supporters engaged in violence.

“They went after their employment, by challenging their employers. There was vandalism on certain organizations. I can think of one individual that his business suffered because he had to disclose. I don’t think our organization should have to disclose our donors, period. We just don’t believe we should be forced to.”

Here they are telling their lies again. Gays do not resort to violence it is a proven fact look at our track record. We don't waste our time on getting violent we attack were it counts, the justice system. I don't know of one person or one employer in California that experienced a violent situation because of prop 8. Boycotts yes, however I have not read one account of violence. Not saying that I am the all-knowing but I followed prop 8 very closely and never came across one story of that nature. But that is the nature of these hate groups. That is how they play the game by crying victim, invoking fear in people and telling lies.

But a coalition of groups advocated just the opposite, that full disclosure is essential to a healthy democracy. Common Cause Minnesota, the League of Women Voters and the Brennen Center for Justice sent a letter to the board on Thursday morning criticizing the statements of NOM and MFC and urging the board to make the ballot process more transparent.

“Much like the boy who cries ‘wolf,’ it has become routine for groups like the National Organization for Marriage to complain that disclosure will leave them vulnerable to threats and harassment,” the letter stated. “The evidence shows otherwise. In reality, groups like NOM are largely complaining about the ordinary rough and tumble of political debate, particularly on an issue that touches people as personally and deeply as same-sex marriage.” deets here

Former Michigan anti-gay asst A.G. denied request to have deposition sealed...

Remember Andrew Shirvell the former assistant Atty. Gen. that was fired for his anti-gay assault on University of Michigan student body president openly gay Chris Armstrong? Yeah that turd. well the douchebag is challenging his being fired. In an upcoming deposition he requested that the depo be sealed but a judge said hell no!

original story here

Shirvell says in his filing that the charges against him were unsubstantiated and, even if proved, firing him was improper and "arbitrary and capricious."

He first filed a complaint with the attorney general's grievance officer earlier this year to get his job back. The claim was denied, and Shirvell appealed it to the state commission. That decision is still pending. deets here

I never understand people being fired from a job and then suing to get that job back. Why would you want to go back to the place that doesn't want you? Give it up idiot. You're not getting your job back.

R.I. Bishop calls the passage of civil unions a 'Mockery' of Marriage and warns Catholics...

Thomas J. Tobin a Roman Catholic bishop in Rhode Island is calling the recently passed civil unions a "mockery of the institution of marriage” and warned Catholics not to partake in such unions.

“Because civil unions promote an unacceptable lifestyle, undermine the faith of the Church on holy matrimony and cause scandal and confusion, Catholics may not participate in civil unions,” Bishop Tobin said in a Thursday statement, the Providence Journal reports. “To do so is a very grave violation of the moral law and, thus, seriously sinful. A civil union can never be accepted as a legitimate alternative to matrimony.”

Bitch please. The Catholic Church is not the end-all be-all to society. Religion is a choice asshole sexuality is not. The Catholic Church doesn't know the first thing about moral law because if they did they wouldn't have protected the pedophile priests like they did nor would they be promoting any kind of discrimination or bigotry. That is the furthest thing from "moral law". Nobody cares if you accept civil unions or not because the Catholic Church means nothing, it is a fraction in our society and it's a choice to belong, but it does not govern state laws. The only thing that is sinful is your hideous behavior and comments. The gays are winning the war against the religious right. So you can take your so-called "moral laws" and the fable that you call a Bible and shove them up your ass... Oooh, I'm feisty today! ;)

Happy Friday!!!

SD Priest blames gay activists for controversy over gay man denied funeral...

A local priest is accused of saying San Diego gay activists set his church up after a local Catholic church canceled a funeral for gay parishioner John Sanfilippo.

original story here

The San Diego-based religious website California Catholic Daily posted a report on Wednesday quoting a parishioner who attended the mass at the church, Our Lady of the Rosary. That person said Father Louis Solcia told the congregation that he believes the controversy was a "setup" by gay activists.

This was said on the same day the Diocese of San Diego told the media the initial funeral arrangements were canceled by "a visiting priest, substituting during the pastor's vacation, and was not familiar with local practice."

Solcia, let me explain to you how the gays work. Because clearly you have not done your homework. We don't have to setup groups like yours or anyone else's. You guys do an awesome job of it on your own. Nor do we do things such as cover-up and protect pedophile priests, fight to deny people equal rights or tell people that what they are is sinful and they are going to hell. That is the religious rights department. And when you get caught and your true colors are shown you immediately try to blame it on those "Gay activists". Face the facts that you people can't get away with shit anymore....Kissez

DOJ appeals DOMA bankruptcy ruling...

The Obama administration appealed a bankruptcy court ruling that found the federal ban on gay marriage unconstitutional.

The Justice Department filed the appeal Monday, even though President Barack Obama said he agrees the Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional.

Nevertheless, government lawyers said Obama has ordered them to defend the ban until Congress repeals the act or there is a final judicial ruling striking it down.

Today in Wtf? : FBI invites Westboro Chuch to talk to angents...

I swear things just get weirder and weirder. Tim Phelps who is part of the inbred family that we all know as the gay hating Westboro Baptist church has been asked to speak to FBI agents. But don't jump to conclusions it's not really what you think.
Tim Phelps was invited to address agents several times "as part of the bureau's counterterrorism training program." Hmm.

To be clear, Phelps was not teaching agents about how God hates soldiers, and fags, and Sweden, and all the other things. Instead, he seems to have been invited—according to the FBI—"so police officers and agents could see extremists up close and understand what makes them tick." via gawker

Well I will say this if there is a kook you want to learn from this would be one of them. However the invitation was rescinded once Clarice Starling found out.

officers turn in badges and weapons after Atlanta Eagle bar investigation....

Several Atlanta police officers have turned in their guns and badges after an investigation concluded they mishandled a raid on a midtown gay bar.

Six months after the city paid more than $1 million to settle a lawsuit in connection with the raid at the Atlanta Eagle Bar, the city hired a prestigious law firm to investigate what really happened that night two years ago. On Tuesday night, the Atlanta mayor’s office emailed Channel 2 Action News the findings of that investigation and an internal investigation, saying there will be repercussions for the officers’ actions.

“The reports conclude that most of the officers involved in the operation did not conform to the APDs standard operating procedures,” the mayor’s office said.

The report concluded most of the officers involved in the September 2009 raid at the Eagle Bar violated department procedure, and disciplinary action is expected. deets here

Douche bag of the day: Marcus Bachmann gays are "Sinful" "Barbarians"....

Marcus Bachmann the douchebag husband of the equally douchey anti-gay Michele Bachmann made disparaging remarks about gay people on some Bible beating radio show. I find it rather fascinating that Bachmann is a clinical therapist and beleives that gay is a choice. He must have gotten his education from BYU. I can't wait to see how Michelle Bachmann who is running for president in 2012, will try and spin this to cover her ass.
BACHMANN: We have to understand: barbarians need to be educated. They need to be disciplined. Just because someone feels it or thinks it doesn’t mean that we are supposed to go down that road. That’s what is called the sinful nature. We have a responsibility as parents and as authority figures not to encourage such thoughts and feelings from moving into the action steps…

And let’s face it: what is our culture, what is our public education system doing today? They are giving full, wide-open doors to children, not only giving encouragement to think it but to encourage action steps. That’s why when we understand what truly is the percentage of homosexuals in this country, it is small. But by these open doors, I can see and we are experiencing, that it is starting to increase. deets here

Marcus Bachmann runs the Bachmann and Associates mental health clinic in Minnesota. They provide “Christian counseling.” Lols...Bitch please. And it gets better, the clinic accepts federal and state funding. As far as I am concerned federal and state money should not be going to any organization that promotes any sort of anti-gay agenda...Dy the way ass hole I would recheck your research, the percentage of homosexuals in this country is by no means small....

Man stung by scorpion on flight....

Omg! Eff this shitz....

A man got a big surprise on a commercial flight from Seattle to Anchorage, Alaska, when he was stung by a scorpion while sitting in his plane seat.

Jeff Ellis, of Oregon, said he was trying to sleep on an overnight Alaska Airlines flight June 17 when he felt something in his sleeve and tried to brush it away. He said he felt the crawling again, looked down and saw the culprit.

"I picked my hand up and said, 'Oh, my God. That's a scorpion,'" Ellis told KPTV.

He said he grabbed the scorpion with a napkin and showed it to his girlfriend, but not before it stung him on the elbow.

Southwest Pilot offers apology after his anti-gay/ ugly woman rant...

This was the least he could do after those nasty comments. James Taylor the Southwest pilot who went off on his anti-gay and ugly women rant, has now issued an apology.

"I deeply regret the derogatory remarks I made and the hurt I have caused. I take full responsibility for those comments," he wrote.

"It was truly insensitive of me and I would like all of you to know that from now on, I will show nothing but my utmost respect during my interactions with all employees," he continued.

He then singled out the base of Houston flight attendants, whom he referred to on his recording as "the ugliest" group companywide.

"In addition, I would like to extend a special apology to all flight attendants, and especially those of Houston," he wrote.

He then suggested he'd like to extend individual apologies if his colleagues will allow him to maintain a working relationship.

"Please know that this event has forever changed me and I hope that others can learn from my mistakes," his letter reads.

"I have learned a much-needed lesson to be more sensitive of others and I hope you will see me as a more tolerant and considerate person," he wrote.

Gay activist group vandalizes HRC store in D.C....

A group calling itself “The Right Honorable Wicked Stepmothers’ Traveling, Drinking, and Debating Society and Men’s Auxiliary” oooh i gotta take a breath. Claims the vandalized the Human Rights Campaign store in Washington, D.C. Tuesday night because it was ugly...

Here is what they said:

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) gift shop in Dupont Circle in Washington, DC is a god awful monstrosity. We were in there yesterday and between wiping our genitals on the clothing and discovering that the snow globes wouldn't properly fit up our bums, we got to thinking:

"This place would look great with a bit of shattered glass and splattered paint."

So we strapped on our riot chaps, poured pink paint into light bulbs, grabbed hammers, and went party party party! all over that tacky testament to the transformation of radical queer liberation into consumer junk.

Lols! Girlz I gotta tell ya, your a kick in the panties! love the genitals wiping! Priceless. But seriously vandalism is not the way to go. Rise above and come up with a more glamorous way to get your point across. And on a side note, can you do something about your name? It's a little long can we abbreviate it?

U.S. stops deportation of same sex marriage immigrant...

Awesome!

In a decision that could have far-reaching effects on immigration cases involving same-sex couples, federal officials have canceled the deportation of a Venezuelan man in New Jersey who is married to an American man, the couple’s lawyer said Wednesday.

Josh Vandiver, left, and his husband, Henry Velandia, outside the immigration court in Newark on Friday.

The announcement comes as immigration officials put into effect new, more flexible guidelines governing the deferral and cancellation of deportations, particularly for immigrants with no serious criminal records.

“This action shows that the government has not only the power but the inclination to do the right thing when it comes to protecting certain vulnerable populations from deportation,” said the couple’s lawyer, Lavi Soloway.

Rhode Island Passes civil unions: Gay groups not happy...

The Rhode Island Senate has approved a bill that would allow same-sex couples to enter into civil unions, a measure that Gov. Lincoln Chafee says he's inclined to sign.

State senators voted 21-16 Wednesday evening to endorse the bill. The legislation, which already has passed the state House, allows gay couples to enter into civil unions that offer the same rights and benefits given to married couples under Rhode Island law. deets here

Many gay groups are calling for the governor to veto the bill because it gives too many freedoms to religious groups to discriminate regardless of a couples civil union. For example a religious hospital could refuse a spouse the right to make medical decisions for the other.

Hockey player fires agent over anti-gay tweets...

Remember Todd Reynolds the sports agent who tweeted that he was against gay marriage and condemned hockey player Sean Avery for his pro-gay marriage stance. Well NHL player Andrew Brunette fired Reynolds because of his tweets.

Now, with the start of NHL free agency less than three days away, Reynolds has lost a client because of past comments. Minnesota Wild forward Andrew Brunette, a potential unrestricted free agent, fired Reynolds and replaced him with Don Baizley, Michael Russo of Minneapolis Star Tribune reported on Twitter.
Andrew Brunette opted to find a new agent after his old one spoke out against gay marriage. (AP Photo)

After New York Rangers forward Sean Avery recorded a PSA in support of gay marriage last month, Reynolds took to Twitter to share his views: "Very sad to read Sean Avery's misguided support of same-gender 'marriage.' Legal or not, it will always be wrong."

And later: "To clarify. This is not hatred or bigotry towards gays. It is not intolerance in any way shape or form. I believe we are all equal."

See this is not about just having an opinion he's going beyond that by condemning Sean Avery's viewpoint. Then he has the nerve to say this is not hatred, bigotry or intolerance towards gays in any way? If he believes that all people are equal then all people should have equal rights. Reynolds I think needs to go back to school and learn the definition of bigotry and intolerance. Because clearly he is "misguided".

Red Bull crewman fired for homophobic tweets...

This is what happens when you don't think before you tweet. Jeremy Fuller was fired from the red bull racing team after tweet exchange spewing anti-gay comments.

Fuller who was in the San Francisco area on his way to the airport when he saw a van with a sign stating that they were on their way to San Francisco's gay pride celebration.

The sign had a rainbow on it the words, “On Our Way to SF Gay PRIDE” Fuller tweeted a picture of the sign with the comment, “This is way (sic) I don’t live here.”

One of Jeremy’s followers  saw the sign and sent Fuller a tweet saying, “yea if we could get rid of them it’d be a lot better.”

To that Fuller tweeted this reply: “lol.. Don’t we all wish!!”

Fuller said Tuesday night that his initial tweet was meant as a joke to another crew member. He said he never posted that response and was on a plane when that appeared on his Twitter account. He took down the posts Monday morning, and Fuller said Tuesday night that he had been fired by Red Bull Racing and by Turner Motorsports.

“I don’t have any negative thoughts about gay people,” Fuller said. “I got rid of everything because I did not want it to go this far. … I’ve got gay friends. It was like, ‘Hey, look, this [banner] is something you don’t [typically] see. It’s like, ‘Wow, let’s post this.’”

“It was a joke between two friends and it cost me both of my jobs,” Fuller said. “I’m not racist and I do not hate gay people. It wasn’t intended to be what [it appeared]. … I didn’t write anything about getting rid of them or 'ha ha,' or 'laughing out loud.'"  full deets here

Look, he should know better. When you are tweeting there is no such thing as privacy. You need to think before your tweet. I do not blame the company for firing him. He represents the company as an employee and they have a no tolerance policy on hate speech. He knows that. Also if other people saw his tweets, its not a private conversation like he may believe. Hey I crack jokes all the time in conversations with friends that would be deemed as inappropriate. But i do not tweet them. Something said in an actual verbal conversation does not translate in print properly. However I don't know how you could translate the Tweet about getting rid of gays in any other fashion but hate once it goes viral. This is a hard lesson to learn...

for their part, Red Bull released this statement:

“Red Bull Racing Team was made aware of comments posted to a contractor's Twitter account following this weekend's race,” the statement said. “After investigating the matter, Red Bull Racing Team terminated the contractor's employment effective immediately.

“The race team regularly conducts diversity training and strictly enforces our team policies against any form of discrimination. We have zero tolerance for such violations and in no way support any of the comments posted by this individual.”

Myspace sells for piddly $35 Million...

News Corp has sold social media site Myspace for about $35 million to online advertising company Specific Media, according to a source familiar with the transaction.

The deal, announced on Wednesday, calls for News Corp to retain a minority stake in the website that it purchased six years ago for $580 million, the companies said.

Additionally, more than 50 percent of Myspace's 500-strong workforce is expected to be laid off because of the sale, the source said.

Tourist left behind at Great Barrier Reef Snorkeling...

An American tourist fought off panic when an Australian tour boat company accidentally left him stranded near the Great Barrier Reef in his snorkeling gear.

Michigan 28-year-old Ian Cole says he grew frightened when he surfaced and realized the Passions of Paradise tour boat was gone last Saturday. Since American couple Tom and Eileen Lonergan disappeared after being left behind by a boat in nearby Port Douglas in the 1990s, tour companies have followed strict head count rules, the AFP reports. You can watch an Australian TV news report on the incident in the video above.

"Panic kicks in, your heart rate goes up, and you don't know what's going to happen. I was sucking water back into my snorkel and was really trying hard to stay calm," Cole told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Cole saw another tour boat and says he swam about 15 minutes to reach it. ''When I got to the other boat they looked down like 'what the hell are you doing here?' They said my boat had left 15 minutes ago. I thought they were joking.''

And are you ready for this, Cole was given a $200 restaurant voucher and a refund of the trip. Are you kidding me? I would expect a little bit more since they almost fed him to the sharks...

Glen Beck claims he was verbally attack with his family in NY...

When Glenn Beck ventured out with his wife and daughter to catch a Hitchcock flick in New York City’s Bryant Park, the event “turned into a hostile free-for-all,” according to his Web site.

He and his family weathered verbal abuses and slurs against conservatives, and an angry moviegoer even kicked a glass of wine onto his wife, Beck said in a video on his site.

“These people were some of the most hateful people I’ve ever seen,” he said.  It takes one to know one, doesn't it Glenda?
“We have to find a way to love people like that,” he said. “In the end, only love remains.” You should practice what you preach. You are no different than those people who ALLEGEDLY attacked you...

The only other thing I will say about this, is that the family should not be attacked because of his asshole antics. If he is alone that's one thing but stuff like that should not be done in front of children. I will say though he needs to take responsibility for its only because of him that this supposedly happened.

Knee Slapper of the Day: NOM's 4 year plan to over turn gay marriage in NY...

Here is NOM"s "4 year" plan to overturn gay marriage in New York straight from their blog.

A constitutional amendment in New York requires approval from the legislature in two successive legislatures—and does not require the governor's signature—before going to the voters for final approval.

We're putting together a 4-year campaign strategy that will reverse same-sex marriage in New York. We'll have many more details, and ways for you to get involved, in the days ahead but the overall plan will have three phases:

PHASE 1:
Elect pro-marriage majorities next November that will approve a marriage amendment in both the Assembly and Senate during the 2013 legislative session.

PHASE 2:
Protect pro-marriage candidates in the 2014 elections, so that the amendment can receive final legislative approval in the 2015 legislative session.

PHASE 3:
Successfully pass the ballot measure when it goes before voters in November 2015.

A 4-year process seems like a long time—and it is—but it's achievable. via towleroad

Lols...Yes it is a long time. In 4 to 5 years the acceptance of the gay marriage in New York will even be greater and that includes Republican legislators. Also after they realize that the last four years of gay marriage had absolutely no effect on straight marriages or religious freedoms, they lies that NOM claims, they are not going to give two shitz... Good luck losers you've lost. Now suck it hard...

Rudy Giuliani reneges on gay marriage promise?

yes that is Giuliani in drag...

Supposedly when Rudy Giuliani's marriage went bust and he was couch surfing at his gay friends house. Howard Koeppel and Mark Hsiao the gay couple, said that Giuliani promised he would marry them whenever gay marriage became legal in New York. Well now that it has been time to pay up, Giuliani is nowhere to be found so to speak.

"I asked if he would marry us," recalled Howard Koeppel,

"He said, 'Howard, I don't ever do anything that's not legal. If it becomes legal in New York, you'll be one of the first ones I would marry.' "

Ten years later, Koeppel is distressed that his former house guest hasn't returned the many calls he began making before the legislation was passed last week.

"It seems like a lot of people he was close to become persona non grata," Koeppel observed. gawker

I say good riddance. Why would you want that idiot to marry you anyway? He single-handedly tried to get rid of all the gay bars in New York by trying to enact all these ridiculous laws. I think a Cher or Liberace impersonator would be far more fun!

Scumbag of the Day: Accused Dog Killer Andrew David Thompson..

A Michigan State University medical student accused of killing several dogs faced a judge again Wednesday morning. Wednesday, 24-year-old Andrew David Thompson was in East Lansing's District Court where he was formally charged with three additional counts of killing, mutilating or torturing an animal.

I have zero tolerance for cruelty towards animals. If this scumbag is found guilty they should do to him exactly what he did to those poor defenseless dogs. Actually I'd like to get my hands on the bitch myself.

Ken Mehlman confronted at Stonewall in about his past working for the anti-gay agenda...

facts about Mehlman:

Ken Mehlman managed President George W. Bush’ s re-election drive in 2004. Courting the evangelical Christian voting bloc so crucial to the Republican Party, Mehlman’s boss campaigned on a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. He supported anti-gay legislative act over decades, including the 2005 Marriage Protection Amendment and Republican-backed voter initiatives against gay rights in 21 states.

Now of course after the Bush era was over Mehlman came out of the closet and did a complete about-face and fights for gay rights and marriage. However a lot of people still have not forgiven him for what he did while working for the Bush presidency. I have to say personally not enough time has gone by to let him off the hook. I'm not sure it ever will. He helped cause a lot of damage to the gay community. He still seems a bit swarmy to me.

You know want? I just watched this video again and came to the conclusion that this guy is not humbled. Because I feel that knowing everything that he did to the gay community, when this guy confronted him, he should have simply said "yes that was me, I did those things that I am now on a different path to make up for my mistakes" Not give a smug response like I'm here for something else tonight and have his friends protect him. That reeks of scumbag to me...

New Jersey: 7 couples file suit gay marriage suit...

I had a feeling this wouldn't take long, but I didn't see it happening this soon. Less than a week after New York passed gay marriage seven gay and lesbian couples are filing suit in New Jersey over gay marriage.
(TRENTON, N.J.) — Seven gay and lesbian New Jersey couples, along with many of their children, are going to court to try to force the state to recognize gay marriage.

The families say in their legal complaint that the state's civil union law designed to give gay couples the same legal protections as married couples has not fulfilled that promise.

One man says he was denied being able to make urgent medical decisions for his partner. Another saw his partner and children's health insurance canceled by a skeptical auditor. One woman had to jump through legal hoops to adopt the baby of her civil union.

Along with the gay advocacy groups Garden State Equality and Lambda Legal, the couples planned to announce details of the lawsuit on Wednesday. The advocacy groups provided a copy to The Associated Press on the condition that no details be published before Wednesday morning.

Unfortunately this long process is the way it has to be done because this state legislators will not do it on their own.

Not Good Minnesota: 1 in 5 gay students attacked by bullies...

The majority of gay students in Minnesota have been verbally harassed in school, and one in five has been punched, kicked or violently injured over sexual orientation, according to new survey. full deets here

This should not be happening. With what has happened over the last year with teens committing suicide and the attention on bullying, this statistic is mind-boggling.

Transgender woman being held as murder suspect...LGBT Rallies around her...

A transgender woman is being held  for allegedly murdering a man during an altercation outside of a gay bar. The victim was allegedly spewing racial and homophobic slurs which escalated into a fight that ended in the stabbing of the victim.

Members of the Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender community came out to support 23-year-old Chrishuan McDonald Tuesday. McDonald is a transgendered woman accused of killing a man outside a Minneapolis bar.

Police say McDonald stabbed and killed Dean Schmitz outside Schooner Tavern on 27th Avenue South on June 5.

Gay Man who murdered 2 lovers get 22 years in prison...

A gay man who killed two consecutive lovers in identical circumstances has been jailed for a minimum of 22 years.

David Richard Fraser showed little reaction as the Supreme Court sentenced him, this morning, for the murder of Luke Noonan.

Fraser, 36, had previously pleaded guilty to murdering Mr Noonan at his West Beach unit in September 2009.

Apparently Fraser murdered both lovers by auto-erotic asphyxiation. Wtf?

San Diego man denied funeral at catholic church because of being gay...

A San Diego man’s Catholic funeral was moved from a church in Little Italy to a cemetery across town this week after a priest objected because the man was gay.

Tuesday, the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego said in a statement that the funeral Mass for 70-year-old John Sanfilippo — who owned SRO Lounge, a gay hangout in Bankers Hill — “may take place.” The statement, from Chancellor Rodrigo Valdivia, said the person objecting to the initial funeral arrangements was “a visiting priest substituting during the pastor’s vacation” and “not familiar with local practice.”

How disgusting. The visiting priest excuse, does not cut it with me. That's a bunch of bullshit...

Broken Zipper...

Question of the Day...

Would you laser off your beard permanently? I know someone who is in process of doing it now. He is 30 and when i asked him why he was doing that, he said he did not like hair on his face and did not understand why people do. I know its all about individual likes and dislikes, but i find beards and body hair very attractive. Even if i did not like it, i do not think i would remove it permanently. What if in 10 years you change your mind?

Gay History: Why the gay rights movement was born in a gay bar...

Wow. Just read this article about how the gay civil rights movement was born in a gay bar. The article covers the gay uprisings that we have not heard of that happened before Stonewall and explains why Stonewall was the beginning of the gay rights movement. It is fascinating and extremely interesting. Read it. Trust me you will like it....Thanks again for the tip Carlatta...

On Dec. 31, 1966, a dozen plainclothes policemen observed the New Year's festivities inside the Black Cat, a gay bar in Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighborhood. At the stroke of midnight, as revelers celebrated with "Auld Lang Syne" and the traditional New Year's kiss, uniformed cops burst into the bar, billy clubs swinging. For many of the bar's customers, 1967 began with a blow to the head.

Sixteen patrons werearrested inside the Black Cat, and police chased two more men into New Faces, another gay bar nearby. There, the cops struck the female owner and beat three employees who came to her defense. According to Lillian Faderman and Stuart Timmons' book Gay L.A., one of the bartenders suffered a ruptured spleen; when he came to at County General Hospital, he was charged with assaulting an officer. The New Year kisses led to six men being charged with lewd conduct. All of them were found guilty.

The gay community was outraged by this police harassment. Activists organized protests and distributed leaflets outside the Black Cat for weeks after the raid. But thanks to Los Angeles' sprawling geography, few passers-by witnessed the incident or noticed the protests, and the episode received little media attention. It would be two and a half more years before a similar incident, at a bar on the opposite coast, would change the gay rights movement forever. full article here
