Scumbags of the day: Chick-fil-A Gave Nearly $2M to Antigay Groups…They should be boycotted…

I have posted about scumbag Chick-fil-A numerous times on this blog, about all their support for anti-gay groups. Of course if you ask the head douchebag over there, Dan Cathy, he will insist that they are not anti-anything. Really Dan? 2 of the groups below specifically use conversion therapy to try and change gays to straight. That is ANTI-GAY asshole…

SO one more time, Chick-fil-A is anti-gay and if you are eating there, your money is going to groups that try and deny you equal rights…

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy has said that his company doesn’t carry an “agenda against anyone,” but it’s hard to believe that after considering their “philanthropy.” Some of the groups the corporation has contributed to through WinShape, the side company created in 1984 for corporate giving, include organizations that not only actively work to end marriage equality, but also groups that attempt to “convert” gay people and one that’s considered a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Here are some of WinShape’s contributions, according to tax records from 2009:

- Marriage & Family Legacy Fund: $994,199

- Fellowship of Christian Athletes: $480,000

- National Christian Foundation: $240,000

- Focus on the Family: $12,500

- Eagle Forum: $5,000

- Exodus International: $1,000

- Family Research Council: $1,000

Go to Equality Matters to see how these groups work against LGBT equality. A request for comment from Chik-fil-A’s corporate offices was not immediately returned.

Funny, I have never eaten at a Chick-filla — the idea was abhorrent to me food wise — so now how do I boycott them? I can’t. How many gays are really eating in such places anyway? Who knows. Boycotts by gays, however, actually can’t really work, there’s just not enough of us, nor are we concentrated enough. But buycotts, well, then, that’s something else, and would almost certainly be more effective. Indeed, gay guys should buy shares of stock in the company, and then show up at the corporate meetings, where they can speak up directly to the creeps in charge. All you need is one share, not a lot. And when shareholders speak up about wasted company profits that might have gone to dividends, well, I dare say, other shareholders might listen a bit more, than if some gay activists tell gays who barely eat at such places to continue to, um, not eat at such places, and Chick-filla couldn’t care less anyway. Buycott, not boycott. .
