The HRC launched a new campaign “Americans for marriage equality” which features videos of prominent people showing their support for marriage equality. The first video below is of Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker explaining why he believes everyone should have the right to marry. He says that the best “it’s about love”. Now if only the other dumb asses would understand that.
“I support it because from my earliest of ages I made a pledge that we will be a nation with liberty and justice for all,” says Booker in the 30-second video. “I support marriage equality because I believe in the 14th Amendment: ‘equal protection under the law.’ And I support marriage equality because I support love and in this nation we need a lot more of it.”
