CHICAGO — The Chicago Cubs will produce an “It Gets Better” video, which takes a stand against anti-gay bullying and homophobia. The project has been in the works for more than a week and is set to be filmed after the team returns to Wrigley Field from its current 10-game road trip.

The Cubs will be the second professional sports team to participate in the “It Gets Better” campaign following the San Francisco Giants who released their video earlier this week. deets here

Awesome! Not to bring it down though, but there have been 10,000 “it gets better” videos since the campaign took off in Sept.2010 and the Cubs are the second professional sports team to make a video. I find that insane. Only 2 professional sports teams have made videos. What is that saying?
