Sean Avery, First Athlete To Support NY Marriage Equality…
Sean Avery of the New York Rangers in an interview with the New York Times, that he supports gay marriage. He has gay friends, and doesn’t see why they shouldn’t have equal rights.
As great as this is, there is one sad note, Avery is the only active athlete to throw his support behind equality. With all the major sports teams, especially in NY, this is disgusting. Hello Jeeter, Arod and all the others that play for the NY teams that MANY gay fans support, where is YOUR support back??
