Jake Pavelka's friend says he's "Not Gay"

izz: Pavelka, ABC's current Bachelor is in the middle of a media blitz over the break up of he and his women of choice Vienna Girardi. Vienni claims that Pavelka stopped having sex with her months before they broke up. Coming up with a series of excuses such as, i've got a headache, i'm out of poppers, can't find my strap on. (oh how i kid, hot though) fasting, tired a bunch of reasons. Correct me if im wrong but doesn't a 32 year old guy want to have sex as much as he can? Ok a guy in general?

Now a "friend" of Vienna's told Radaronline that Vienna told her "I don't think Jake is into girls".

I knew this wouldn't take long when i heard her blabbing about the break up. Of course jumping to Jakes defense is a "childhood" friend proclaiming that he is

"Most certainly not gay" and he knows this most certainly how?

“Look at him. He’s the all-American perfect catch of a guy,” Jake’s friend says. “There’s a reason why ABC cast him as the most eligible bachelor in America. Love this line, um the first Bachelor was gay let's not forget.

“If he wanted to go out and just get laid by beautiful women, he could, no doubt. But sex to him means and has always meant something. He was that guy in high school that waited for the relationship to deepen before he slept with a girl.” Very profound.

“He actually confided in me about a month ago when he was thinking about ending things with Vienna, saying he just couldn’t be intimate with her anymore because he lost that fire for her,” the source told This is my favorite, "he confided in me" and yet here you are blabbing you trap to anyone who will listen. What a friend. Call me I'm in the market for some quality people.

Truth be told, whether he is or isn't, who cares. He's a hottie and yes of course we'd love him on our side. But Vienna come now, learn this lesson, when a relationship ends for whatever reason, have class and keep the deets to yourself. Spewing your sexual or personal details out there for the world to hear just makes you look like pure trash.

Latifah sets the record gay, well sort of....

In an interview with Black Voices, Tifah had this to say about all the gay talk.

You?ve been asked so much about your sexuality.
Wouldn?t it be easier at this point to just speak on it-once-and be done
with it?

I don?t have to explain anything. I don?t have to confirm anything.
Look, I need my time. I need my life.

But isn?t that a part of being a celebrity, letting people
into your personal life?

You know, I was looking atsomething the other day. A magazine with
Jennifer Aniston on the cover. That?s a strong woman right there. All of
these people in her business-who is she dating? Angie this. Brad that.
They come up with so much stuff. That?s a tough situation to be in. My
situation is small compared to that. But still, I don?t feel like I need
to explain. I?m the one living it. You write about it. You go ahead and
speculate. I?ll just live it.

Do you feel like you?re understood by the people closest to you?

Absolutely. I don?t feel like I need to explain things to a perfect
stranger. The people who matter know. And they love me for Dana. I don?t
have to tell Joe Blow. Joe, you worry about who YOU sleeping with.

izz: I believe there is power in numbers, so yes i think everyone should be out. But i first and foremost believe in the right to privacy.  It is a personal choice to come out. But in Tifah's case i don't think its an issue of coming "out" per-say as it is just her private life. I am sure she is out in personal life but quite frankly as far as the public go's, that is her choice. I live in LA and i have seen her around town a couple of times and i will say this about her. I was at a restaurant in Santa Monica one afternoon and she came in with someone else and as she was being led to her table, people noticed her and were calling out to her, fans, saying hi and wanting autographs. She couldn't have been more gracious. She was smiling, waving and saying hi to anyone who acknowledge her. I saw her another time where she acted the same way and have heard similar stories about her. I like the Tifah...Jo Dyke Foster should take some lessons from Queen...

You marry gays- i want my money back!

izz: DC woman Yvonne Moore (no relation to Demi) sued her church Covenant Baptist because of it's support of same sex marriage. After being a memeber for 37 years, she sued for her weekly tithes of close to $250,00 because Pastors Dennis and Christine Wiley performed a gay commitment ceremony in 2007.(love them!)

“I don’t believe in that, I’m a southern Baptist,” Moore told O’Brien. “The bible speaks against that.  You cannot take that in the church.”

Since performing the ceremony, the mostly black church has lost half its memembers because of this. How pathetic. They Pastors believe that the gay rights stuggle is the same as the black cival rights movement. Amen to that. Finally black Pastors are speaking up.

“I don’t think we as a people have a lock on civil rights,” Pastor Dennis Wiley said.

Moore dropped her law suit against the church, but wont go back. Good, cuz no one wants ignorant bigots in a place that promotes equality. Yvonne certainly has the right to her opinion but i will say this, she is old enough to remember the civil rights movement, when blacks such as herself did not have equal rights. How quickly one forgets when they get themselves taken care of. I will say it again, i do not understand black people discriminating at all. WTF? and don't give me the bible, praise Jesus bullshit. Cuz it don't cut it when it comes to bigotry. Did it cut it when they were being discriminated against?

The View- dumb dumb dumb....

I know that people make mistakes or have misinformation at times. It happens to us all but when you find out that the information is incorrect, you fix it. On the June 22 episode of The View Sherri Shepherd and guest host D.L. Hughley were talking about the gay blood ban when Hughley said that the increase in HIV rates in black women were due to black men on the down low ( straight men having sex with men on the side). Shepherd always one to dazzle you with her stupidity then chimed in. I will let you watch the rest below.

But i will say this, I watched the episode when it aired, none of the other host's could really get an word in to begin with because of Shepherds incessant cackling, she would not shut up. She was like a frenzied hyena devouring a carcass. How she ever got that job baffles me, she is so proudly ignorant. (case in point: when discussing straight women in college having sex with another women its just experimentation she can then go on to be straight. But if its a guy, he's gay, no if and's or buts.) Need i say more? Babs must have been desperate. Hughley did not display his smarts in not speaking about things he clearly knows nothing about. He had a fabulous ignorant moment too that Thomas Roberts and Hassleback called him out on and he still stood by his point. Rolling my eyes here...
Glaad has called on ABC to issue a statement correcting the wrong information and ABC won't. Even the CDC says the information that Shepherd and Hughley spewed was wrong. Go to GLAAD's website to sign the petition to get ABC to issue the correct info.

Happy Friday!!!!

It's that time of the week again! Hope everyone has a great weekend....

Huckabee just get's more dumb as he opens his mouth...

izz: Oh Fuckabee, you are better off just not opening your mouth because every time you do, streams of dumbass diarrhea just pour out. Fuckabee responded to the flack he is getting for using the term "ick factor" in referring to his anti gay-marriage comments. If you don't recall this is what the bigot said:

"I do believe that God created male and female and intended for marriage to be the relationship of the two opposite sexes. ... We can get into the ick factor, but the fact is two men in a relationship, two women in a relationship, biologically, that doesn't work the same,"

In trying to clear up why he chose that phrase, he said he took it from the people he was bashing: the gays!

"My use of the phrase 'ick factor' was as the established notion from within the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender (GLBT) community. It was not an indication of personal aversion, but rather a reference to an established phrase used mostly from same-sex marriage advocates and militants - not one I created," he wrote.
"This phrase is not new. This phrase is not mine," he added.

He cites work by Martha Nussbaum and Joseph Erbentraut as using the phrase.

"Many of these groups [who wrote about his use of "ick factor"] didn't do any research on the term's origin and usage just chose to attack without the facts," Huckabee wrote.

Huckabee, being the religious bible beater that he is, while doing his nightly prayers, he should pray to god that he wakes up with a brain one morning., cuz this freak is dumb. The article in which he says he got the phrase from, the author Marth Nussbaum, has come out and said she never used the phrase or coined it. The article was corrected. Talk about not getting the facts Hucky. Elizabeth Hassleback probably wrote the statement for him...What is it about religion that makes people ignorant and dumb? Talk about drinking the cool aide.

When Thiller came out, i became obsessed with Michael Jackson simply put. Every poster every made at that time was on my wall, i had the MJ doll, i had the picture discs ( and i mean vinyl, kids) the beat it leather jacket, the glove, everything. I could not get enough. I even took break dance lessons to learn how to moon walk! ( i can't believe i just admitted that) lols. I don't think there is one bad song he made. They are just fun fun fun. I never got the chance to see him live but was hoping that after he did the London shows he have done some U.S. ones and i would have gotten the chance but unfortunately it was not to be. So here are 2 tributes to Michael.

Well, it's been a year since Farrah and Michael unfortunately passed. Like every good gay boy i was a Charlie's Angels fan and wished i was one of the Angels... :) and who didn't want to be Farrah!  When i was growing up Charlie's Angels was the hottest show ( i was very young, under 10 just so you know!) but there was all this hubbub in my home town that Farrah had just purchased a house there. T-shirts were made and sold at local stores, there were supposed sightings of her at the beach, at restaurants, down town. It was Farrah mania.  I don't know if it ever was true but the house is still there and every time i am home and i go to the beach i drive by it and wonder if all the hype was true.

Either way, she was a true beauty...

The Jersey Guido's Love the Gay eyes....

izz: Just like i said yesterday. I knew the Guido's of the Jersey Shore would care less that they were on the queer issue of the Village Voice because they love the attention. Hot! Being Italian myself i have only dated one ginni, unfortunately.  He wasn't a guido but man one would be fun to play with!

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagino

"I don't give a s--t, man," Vinny just told me about being on the newspaper's annual gay-themed issue. "I've done so many photoshoots and they're pretty much all the same.
"I go in there, do my thing, take my shirt off, get my hair and my make-up done and they dress me," he continued. "I take the pictures and wherever they end up, they end up."
"I know MTV and it's in their judgment to make sure they don't end up anywhere too crazy, but the Village Voice?" Vinny said. "That's awesome."
The accompanying Voice story, headlined "The Guido Ideal," examines gay life on the Shore.
"As long as I look good," Vinny said, "that's all I care about."

Way back in December, The Situation told me that he doesn't mind his same-sex loving fans. "I'll be honest, I like the attention," he said, "I'm flattered if there are guys with different preferences that have crushes on me."

Besides, being a "Queer" coverboy does have its perks. Vinny bragged, "I got a free pink hoodie out of it!"

izz: LOLs, Love it!

AFA Henchmen claims "child abuse" Letting 10 yr Old be Pride Marshal...

izz:This tool never quits. Here is the background ( as brief as i can, she likes to talk ya know :) Last year 10 year old Will Phillips refused to stand in class and recite the Pledge of Allegiance because it promises "liberty and justice for all" and he says it's a lie because the LGBT people are not given equal rights. True. In response to his activism Northwest Arkansas Gay Pride Parade of Fayeatteville, Will's home town, asked him to be the Grand Marshal. I am sure once the news got out you could hear every bible in the belt hit the floor as bible beaters such as Tim Wildmon (cult: American Family Association) clutched their chest's and spewed every nasty anti-gay rhetoric they could muster. Well it certainly did not take long for Timmy to send his email out to his devoted list of zombie followers peppering it will all kinds of colorful things like, brainwashed, unnatural sex, manipulative adults and child abuse. Finally begging Mayor Lionel Jordan to cancel his proclamation of Gay pride. Here read for yourself:

This weekend, the Northwest Arkansas Gay Pride Parade will have a 10-year-old boy, Will Marshall, serving as Grand Marshal. The boy says of homosexuals that this ‘is the way they are born.’

“‘It’s shameful that adults would abuse a brain-washed child in this way,’ said AFA president Tim Wildmon. ‘He’s obviously just parroting the nonsense he’s been told by manipulative adults. For gay activists to trot out this child and make him the poster child for promoting unnatural sexual expression is a form of child abuse.

“‘When you realize that the FDA won’t allow a male to donate blood if he’s had sex with another male even one time since 1977, you begin to understand the enormous health risks involved in this kind of sexual behavior,’ added Wildmon. ‘We call on Mayor Lioneld Jordan of Fayetteville to cancel his plans to issue a proclamation celebrating homosexual behavior and Gay Pride. There is nothing about homosexual conduct to be proud of, and much to be ashamed of.’”

Oh Timmy, I'm disappointed, kinda boring. But seriously the time you waste on this stuff when we could be working on your outfit for the trany float...Grow up you queen! Besides your idiot biblets and yourself ,of course, do your think anybody care's what the hell you have to say?

Will your a great kid! We thank you for your courage!

Tammye over at dallasvoice put a link to the Fayetteville website, urging people to drop a quick note to the Mayor and thanking him for the proclamation and ignoring the Timmy idiots. I agree.

U.S. hikers in Iran were actually arrested in Iraq...WTF?

Shane Bauer, Josh Fattal and Sarah Shourd, the three American hikers that were arrest last July and taken prisoner in Iran were actually arrested on Iraq soil. Iran has continuously claimed that the 3 entered Iran to commit espionage.

A five month investigation by The Nation and Investigative Fund shows the 3 were actually on Iraqi land when they got arrested. 2 witness and other sources say that the Revolutionary Guards officer, Lt. Col. Heyva Taab who likely ordered their detention has since been arrested on charges of smuggling, kidnapping and murder, is currently awaiting execution in prison.

The witnesses, who followed the Western-looking hikers out of curiosity, say that around 2 pm on July 31, as the hikers descended the mountain, uniformed guards from NAJA, Iran's national police force, waved the hikers toward the Iranian side using "threatening" and "menacing" gestures. When their calls were ignored, one officer fired a round into the air. As the hikers continued to hesitate, the guards walked a few yards into Iraqi territory, where they lack jurisdiction, and apprehended them.

izz: That sounds like the tactics Iran would pull. I hope most of all that they are released safely and get back home to their families. But i think as civilians, we have no business being in those areas in the Middle East. Especially with a country as hostile toward the U.S.  and unstable as Iran is. It it's far to dangerous and puts our country in a bad situation as we now see. Again, i hope they are released soon.

Update: Univ. of Texas dorm named after Klan Leader, not good!

izz: Apparently the University of Texas found out that the dorm, named after William Stewart Simkins who taught law there for 30 years was a leader in the KKK and was very vocal about it to the students in his class room. He also bragged about whipping a black man and trying to beat another. UT is deciding whether they are going to change the name of the dorm or not. Hello UT, its not a zip code we are talking about here. Its not difficult, change the name, the end. Then again we are talking about Texas, they just changed their school books to edit history...

update: Ryan at sent me this video of the current status on renaming the dorm.

Foxwoods Casino in CT is standing by the Gay's!

Foxwoods Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods, with the Connecticut Alliance for Business Opportunities (CABO), today announced an enactment of newly expanded Human Resources and Procurement policies that will officially recognize and protect the rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered resort casino employees. This announcement comes in accordance with the ratification of recent tribal laws passed by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, and coincides with National Gay and Lesbian Pride Month, taking place throughout the month of June.

“The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is no stranger to discrimination and the struggle for dignity and equality, dating as far back as the early 17th century,” said Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises (MPGE) Chief Marketing Officer Robert Victoria. “At Foxwoods Resort Casino, we sympathize with the plight of any people striving to receive the dignity, acknowledgement and respect pursued by humankind as a whole, and we are proud to enact this initiative on behalf of our employees, as well as the LGBT community at large.”

This landmark legislation, which modifies Foxwoods’ existing Employment Equality Policy to include “sexual orientation, gender identity and expression,” will afford Foxwoods’ LGBT staff the dignity and respect extended to other minority groups represented in Foxwoods’ 8,000+ person workforce, and serve to advance the property’s overall identity as a LGBT-friendly property for guests and the greater LGBT community.

izz: Love my home state! Yea Foxwood's! Gay's get butts to the casino and gamble and see some shows!

Washinton State Supreme Court sides for the Gays....

In and 8 to 1 decision, the supreme court upheld a law that require public disclosures of the names of the people who signed the petition to put an anti-gay referendum on the ballot in the state. Of course Clarence Thomas was the the only one to vote against it.

Doe v. Reed, questioned the constitutionality of a Washington State law that makes public the names and addresses of citizens who sign petitions to put various issues onto the ballot. However the court said said the law requiring records of petition signers to be available to the public does not violate the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Protect Marriage Washington and two “John Doe” plaintiffs brought the appeal on behalf of citizens who signed a petition to put a referendum on the ballot—Referendum 71– against a new domestic partnership law. They said the public disclosure of their names violated their right to privacy and freedom of speech.
A federal district court judge in Seattle had agreed with them but the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals did not, so they appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Chief Justice Roberts said that the State’s interest in preserving the “integrity of the electoral process” was sufficient justification for its Public Records Law (PRA). He said the law helps prevent fraud, mitigates mistakes, and promotes “transparency and accountability in the electoral process.”

izz:What this really shows is that this has never been about gay marriage. This issue wasn't even about gay marriage it was about domestic partnership and these hate mongers still went after it. Proving that their sole purpose is not to "protect" marriage but to destroy, discriminate and to keep fueling hate against a group they simply don't like.

Maggie Gallagher is a Douchebag...

izz:NOM'S Gallagher announced that they are planning a 22 city tour in Iowa this summer called "Summer for Marriage". Where they want to use their scare tactics, you know the ones, protect OUR children, destruction of straight marriage, redefinition of marriage,  all the meaningless phrases and lies they use to scare people into thinking that this will happen if they don't rally to over turn gay marriage. Well gays have been getting married and has any of these things happened in Iowa?

Oh Maggie what has caused you to be so ugly and hating to the gays? Come now tell the Izz. Were you told by a gay man that you were, well, homely? Was a female gym teacher mean to you? No, i got it, you left the pep rally only to find your boyfriend in the parking lot getting it on in the back seat of your car with the quarterback. Oh, I feel your pain... But It's time to move on. Its time to admit that you are holding on to the past. Those days are over. You can free yourself Maggie, i know you can! Just keep chanting to your self over and over: They are queer, they are here, and i love it, they are queer , they are here and i love it...

And very soon your ugly ass douchebagy Anita Bryant discriminating loving ways, will melt away...

All kidding aside this hate and discrimination needs to be stopped...

The anti-gay marriage group National Organization for Marriage will be holding rallies in 22 cities this summer — including Des Moines and Sioux City — with the goal of building public opposition to same-sex marriage.

The organization, which spent nearly $100,000 into an Iowa House special election in September, announced last year that it would launch a new initiative called The Reclaim Iowa Project. The goal is to force Iowans to pass a state constitutional amendment reversing the unanimous ruling of the Iowa Supreme Court that the state’s Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional. U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, has pledged his support for the initiative and lent his voice to a robocall for the organization...

NOM spent millions in Maine and California in campaigns to overturn gay marriage laws.

The state’s largest LGBT-rights organization, One Iowa, is hoping to counter NOM’s efforts in the Hawkeye State. The group is using video from a recent speech in Ames by NOM President Maggie Gallagher to raise money to “educate voters about the freedom to marry.”

A recent poll commissioned by Des Moines CBS affiliate KCCI-TV found a majority of Iowans support marriage rights for same-sex couples.

New York Passes Anti-Bullying Law...

The New York Senate has passed an anti-bullying bill to protect all children from bullying including gender identity and sexual orientation. Gov. Paterson is expected to sign it in law. The bill passed with a 58-3 vote. With the 3 votes against being republicans of course. Sen. Dale Volker said his no vote had nothing to do with sexual orientation or gender identity and expression. His reasoning was that the bill only protects kids in public schools not private religious schools.

However courts have generally ruled that governments can not make laws pertaining to private schools especially religious ones. Volker would know that information so his excuse sounds a bot suspect to me. Even so, get this bill passed into law then go to work on extending similar protections in the private schools as well, if it truly had nothing to do with sexual orientation or gender identity.

Of course the nasty cult American Family Association lobbied against the bill saying it made Bullying a "thought" crime. It is you stupid ass's. If the bill did not include sexual orientation or gender identity they would not even have blinked an eye...Scumbags.

The state assembly had already passed the bill -- as it had eight times previously in the last 11 years -- and Gov. David Paterson is expected to sign it into law. Bill sponsor Sen. Thomas Duane said it will be "the first time protections for our transgendered community will be enshrined in New York law."

"The language included protections based not just on sexual orientation but also gender identity and expression," said Duane, "and unfortunately there was resistance to being inclusive of people of transgender experience and generally the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered) community."

Who's Bad?

izz: Almost a year after his death ( just 2 days away) Michael Jackson is the top celebrity earner, in death that is. His estate earned $1 billion. He sold 31 million cd's alone. The "This is it" dvd of his concert rehearsals footage earned $103 million in theaters and another $42 million in dvd sales. Making it the highest grossing concert film of all time and that ain't no "truth or dare" either..He He... :)

Remember this oldie but goodie? George Michael Freedom 90

izz: I love this video. Especially the guy in his boxers....Hot! I love working out to this song...

Philly Jury rules in favor of Boy Scouts....

izz:Shame on the Jury! They ruled that the City of Philly can not evict the Boy Scouts local chapter from the city owned building for not allowing gays in the Scouts. The city insists that the Scouts abide by their anti discrimination laws. The chapter had originally had no problem allowing gays, it was not until the National -discriminating- Boy Scouts Charter told them they were going to be cut off if they did not adapt the anti gay policies. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Nurse in the Iconic WWII Times Square photo has passed away...

izz: Edith Shain was a nurse at a hospital in NY on that fateful V-J day in 1945 when she walked into Times Square, was grabbed then kissed by a sailor returning home and photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt captured this iconic photo. It was published in Life Magazine.

Her identity went unknown for a few decades until she contacted Eisenstaedt in the 1970's telling him she was the women in the photo. They man with whom she shared the kiss with however has never be identified. Edith generated  fame from the photo and was invited over the years to war related events and memorials.

She died Sunday at age 91, at home in Los Angeles.

Edith is holding the picture in the picture on the left.

Hartford Conn. Gets first openly Gay Mayor!

izz: City Council President Pedro Segarra, will soon become Hartford's next Mayor. He is succeeding Eddie Perez who is resigning after a bribery and extortion conviction. Congrats Segarra!!!

izz: Any stories about Conn. have special meaning to me for it is my home state. Conn. has always been one of the more progressive states when it comes to equality for LGBT community, after all it is one of the few states to allow gay marriage!!!

The Hartford Current tells Segarra's story:
Segarra was born in the small town of Maricao, Puerto Rico, and moved with his family to the Bronx when he was 7 years old. He was raised there with three sisters and two brothers until, he said, several gangs tried recruit him.
“It was basically the gangs that drove me away from my family,” he recalled. “Some people who declined their invitations were killed.”
So he cashed in his last two paychecks from a job at a supermarket, dropped out of high school and boarded a bus bound for Hartford. He said he spent the first few nights sleeping at the downtown YMCA.
Rebuilding his life wasn’t easy. He commuted to New York City a couple of times a week to attend night school. Early jobs in Hartford included mopping floors and working as an emergency medical technician.
But Segarra said he didn’t mind. He felt safe and at home in Hartford.
“It was a very friendly, welcoming city,” he said. “There was more stability, and a stronger sense of community.”
Segarra joined neighborhood groups and marched in the Puerto Rican Day and gay pride parades. He graduated from Greater Hartford Community College, now called Capital Community College, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Hartford and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut. He graduated from UConn Law School in 1985.
Segarra later served as corporation counsel under former Mayors Mike Peters and Carrie Saxon Perry, and joined the city council in 2006.

Video of Obama's White House Pride Speech...

Guido's on the down low....

izz: On the Cover of the annual Queer Issue of the Village Voice, 3 of the guido's from MTV'S Jersey Shore posed shirtless apparently not knowing it was for the gay issue or that the cover story was about Jersey guidos on the down low. LOLS.  Something tells me that with the amount of self love that these gueed's have for themselves they probably get off on the thought of anyone looking at them....

Obama's speach at the White House Pride Celebration Last Night...

izz: Here is the President's speech he gave last night to the crowd of gay's and lezi's at the first EVER White House Pride Celebration. Say what you want about him, he has done more for our community then any other President in history and he's only been on the job a year and a half, not to mention how full his plate is. It's a great speech.

THE PRESIDENT:  Hello, hello, hello!  (Applause.)  Hello, everybody!  (Applause.)  I was going to say welcome to the White House — but you guys seem like you feel right at home.  (Laughter.)  You don’t need me to tell you — it’s the people’s house.

A couple of acknowledgements that I want to make very quickly — first of all, our Director of the Office of Personnel Management, who has just done an extraordinary job across the government — give John Berry a big round of applause.  (Applause.)

AUDIENCE MEMBER:  All right, John!

THE PRESIDENT:  All right, John!  (Laughter.)

Our chair of the Export/Import Bank, helping to bring jobs here to the United States of America — Fred Hochberg.  (Applause.)  Our chair of the Council on Environmental Quality, doing outstanding work each and every day — Nancy Sutley.  Where is she?  (Applause.)  Nancy is a little vertically challenged, but I see her over there.  (Laughter.)

We’ve got here a trailblazer for federal appointees — we are so proud of her — Ms. Roberta Achtenberg is here.  Give Roberta a big round of applause.  (Applause.)  And then I understand we’ve got a terrific country singer — Chely Wright is in the house.  (Applause.)

In addition — I know they had to leave because they had votes, but you guys obviously don’t have just fiercer warriors on your behalf than a couple of our openly gay and lesbian members of Congress — Tammy Baldwin and Jared Polis.  (Applause.)  They are openly terrific.  (Laughter.)  They do great work.
And it is also great to have so many activists and organizers from around the country — folks who fight every day for the rights of parents and children and partners and citizens to be treated equally under the law.  And so we are very proud of all of you.  (Applause.)

It's back!!! The Abecrombie quarterly will hit stores next month...

izz:Hot! The A & F Quarterly will be back in it's stores starting July 21st. After it was pulled from the stores in Dec. of 2003. Remember all those conservatives complained about it being to racy. Don't pick it up then. They are hoping it will boost sales which were down 23% last year. Well, i can can help in that department, turn up the lights, lower the music and clear out some of those floor racks, cuz it's a cluster fuck in there, you don't know where to look. It's like being in a drag queens closet.  Anyway i hope it's as hot as the mag back in the day.

Ryan Seacrest recognizes faces faster then Simon Cowell...

izz: A recent study reveled that gay men recognize faces faster and more precisely then straight men do, because like women they use both sides of their brain. Interesting. I mean i knew that we could think with both of our heads, well thats up for debate but i did not know we could think with both sides of our brain!

here's how it works:

York University researchers found that when homosexual men were asked to memorize and differentiate between faces, they showed patterns of bilaterality similar to those of heterosexual women. Hello, thats why we get along so well.

"Our results suggest that both gay men and heterosexual women code faces bilaterally," associate professor of psychology Jennifer Steeves said in a release. "That allows for faster retrieval of stored information." Participants in the study, which looked into the effects gender, sexual orientation and hand dominance have on face recognition, were asked to memorize 10 faces and distinguish them from 50 others.
wait, hold on to your junk, there is always a snafu- Researchers also found hand dominance affected performance. Left-handed heterosexual participants were better at recognizing faces than left-and right-handed homosexuals. They couldn't just give us this one without a catch!
Hand dominance is generally thought to be linked to both sexual orientation and brain hemispheric functioning.

White House Pride Celebration...

izz:The White House hosted a LGBT Pride Celebration last night When has that ever happened in previous administrations? Here is a list of some of the attendees.

Councilman Charles Pugh, president of the Detroit City Council.  Charles became the first openly gay elected official in the city of Detroit when he won his seat on the city council in 2009.  Because he was the top vote-getter on the council, he also became Council President.
Sen. Christin Kehoe, California State Senate.  She’s been elected twice to the state senate from her San Diego district.
Councilwoman Nickie Antonio, a Lakewood, Ohio City Council member who will become Ohio’s first openly gay state legislator.  Antonio won her Democratic primary, then her last remaining opponent dropped out of the race.
Councilwoman Rosie Mendez of New York, who’s now running for her second term.
Mayor Evan Low of Campbell, California.  He became the nation’s youngest openly gay mayor when he was elected by his peers in December of 2009.
Toni Atkins, a former San Diego City Councilwoman who briefly led the city as acting mayor.  Atkins is running for a seat in the California Assembly this year.

Stanley Cup to glide with the gays......

The Stanley Cup will be making its gay pride debut this weekend in Chicago. How great. The Chicago Gay Hockey League sent an invite to the Blackhawks and the Stanley Cup to take part in the parade. CGHA Pres. Andrew Sobotka said that "we know the realistic chances of the joining us for the Pride Parade are slim" but on Monday they were delivered the good news. We are thrilled and honored for them to consider and accept our request," said Sobotka. "It's just the news we wanted to hear. For the Blackhawks to do this is amazing. It is wonderful to know everyone is helping to make 2010 a year to break down barriers."

Blackhawks President John McDonough is sending the Cup from the NHL draft in LA to Chicago for the parade on Sunday. Team member Brent Sopel and his family will be on the float to represent. "I am honored to do it," said Sopel, who will be accompanied by wife, Kelly, and his four kids, Jacob, 12, Lyla, 8, Jayla, 6, and Paul, 20.

Added McDonough: "The Stanley Cup has become the biggest celebrity of all. It has its own personality and charm. We will be proud to participate in the parade. And Brent Sopel is one of the truly great guys. To have the cup part of the parade is just another great part of the celebration."

izz: This is awesome! This is exactly what breaking down barriers is about.  Also for the first time the Chicago Cubs will have a float in the Pride Parade and player Ernie Banks will be on it....

You must watch this gay Ex-gay bash the gays...Oh Mary....

izz: This is some funny shitz..I gotta say. This dumb bitch Adam Hood, a "former" gay, yeah right, the scarf, brows, hair and elongated sissy twang, really makes us and himself a believer. This one is first in line at the bath house every Sunday morning after church. Praise Jesus.  Apparently he found god after a heroin binge in the Castro. Well where else would you find him? Oh god, you devil. Adam, honey, i'm glad that you traded in your heroin needle for a botox needle (and i'd say your addiction habits are still strong) but seriously girly, your nasty rants about the culture you once "belonged" to wink wink, isn't very christian of you now is it?

Here is some advice from my Dear Izzoiz column: Don't be knocking the group you are going to be begging for forgiveness from when you get caught tied up, with a rent boy hooker that you met taping your foot in a an airport bathroom after scorning some black tar.

Iran: 1 Bi Man beat to death, another alleged bi man lashed 74 times and facing death sentence...

izz: Iran is an evil, evil, evil country and when i say this i mean the government of Iran. Because i am sure like any place else there are good decent people there. The Government is not however. In June, well respected business man Hamid 40, was arrested after his wife phoned the police and told them he was having an affair with a 17 year old boy. Hamid was sentenced to 74 lashes with a whip and still faces the death penalty and the insanity of this all is that this is all based on a wife's phone call! There is no proof that he even was bisexual. No 17 year old boy was identified. Are you kidding me! The

23 year old Amir Hossein, an activist was having dinner with his girlfriend when the"Iranian Gestapo"  Basij security force took him on charges of sexuality. He was then severely tortured and died from his wounds in prison.

These atrocities need to be stopped now. Iran needs to be stopped, they are nothing but animals. No animals do not even do that to each other.

AFA bitchez that Obama made reference to "two Fathers"

izz: I knew this wouldn't take long. The "American Family Association" and i use that name lightly, Tim Wildmon says: "This is the first time in our nation's history that a president has used Father's Day as an excuse to promote the radical homosexual agenda and completely redefine the word 'family."'

In Obama's Fathers day speech he included this: "Nurturing families come in many forms, and children may be raised by a father and mother, a single father, two fathers, a step father, a grandfather, or caring guardian."

"Redefine the word family" yeah, let's talk being " radical" or no let me rephrase that- crazy is more like it. Again, using their scare tactics words and phrases such as "radical, redefine, protect children, protect marriage, homosexual agend". blah blah blah. To try and get everyone in a frenzy.

Tim honey, take a pill. Try a xany, they work wonders for crazies like yourself who are clearly a bit tightly wound. You and your band of hateful biblet's remember this, we the gay's are winning, so give up the ghost and just focus on your own selves because clearly you are lacking in that department. It's time for a self tune up Timmy.

Gay Dad's documentry on CNN...

izz: On Thursday at 8pm CNN is airing a documentary on 2 gay New York Dads called In America: Gary and Tony Have a Baby. Gary and Tony have been together 20 years and married out of state because NY still does not recognize gay marriage. It is not an exploitative piece as much as it is just a story about 2 dad's raising a kid. Can't wait to see it. Tune in.

Trailer trash never disappoints.....

izz: Elizabeth Breeden, 41 became enraged when her 53 year old boy friend took the last can of Natural Light beer. Apparently she ripped the can in half spilling the beer on her boy friend, the floor and chair. When the he stood up, she slapped him and kicked him in the groin. Sounds like a real nice lady...

She's been arrested before for theft and cocaine possession. She told the po po, that the boyfriend had kicked her and spilled squeeze cheese beer on her so that was her reasoning for riping the beer can in half. I'm sure they were riveted...

Breeden spent 2 nights in jail and was released on $1,000 bond. That is some expensive Natural Light.

Gays being Killed in Iraq...

izz: As in most middle east countries gays are treated less then human and Iraq is no exception. I just read this article by Taylor Asen and Zack Strassburger at the huffingtonpost about what we need to do in Iraq to stop the murders of gay people. The Mahdi Army is responsible for the killings but some say police have participated too as well as gay peoples own family members in what they call honor killings. The Mahdi Army will kidnap, torture and force the men to give up names of other gays, go through their cell phones and then brutally murder them. Sometimes gluing their anus's shut and feeding them laxatives until they die.  God these countries are crazy.

In September 2006, Samir, an Iraqi doctor, fled from his home to Jordan just moments before family members came to torture and murder him for "dishonoring" the family by being gay. Samir spent the next few years fleeing from country to country. While working in a hospital in Jordan, he spotted his uncles searching for him just in time to slip out of his office and escape to Saudi Arabia, only to be tortured and nearly killed by Saudi Arabia's "moral police," sending him fleeing back to Jordan.
Unfortunately, the only thing uncommon about Samir's story is that it has a happy ending. With legal help from the Human Rights Watch and the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), Samir safely resettled in the United States in December, 2009. But, unlike Samir, the vast majority of gay Iraqis have no access to legal counsel. Without it, they have little chance of navigating the resettlement system and getting to safety in the U.S. Even those Iraqis with legal help face the staggering challenge of staying alive during the lengthy resettlement process.
The consequences for gay Iraqis who fail to obtain refugee status are severe. Since 2004, hundreds of young men suspected of homosexual conduct have been abducted, tortured, and brutally executed with only a cursory response from Iraqi authorities. Our clients at IRAP and others provide appalling accounts of the violence: in one gruesome method of torture (and often murder), gay men have their anuses glued shut before being fed laxatives.

Former Gay Boy Scout testifies in Philly....

izz: Greg Lattera was a scout from age 10 until he was released at age 18 after publicaly comming out on local t.v. The local chater he belonged to The Cradle of Liberty Council, orignally had a non-discrimination policy so it was not an issue. But the big bad Boy Scouts of America, which is homophobic and ban's gays, threatend to revoke the local charter and replace the board. The Cradle of Libety had to recind the anti discrimination policy.

Lattera said: 'The organization that I loved was finally open. I could be who I was.'

Shortly there after Lattera was expelled. The City and the Local chapter are in a law suit stemming from the Scouts discriminatory polices. Philly has a non discrimination policy and the Scouts are headquartered in a city owned building rent free. Their discriminatory policy goes against the cities laws. So the city wants them out or to pay fair market value.

so crazy all this nonsense ....

With Help, Hetersexuals Can Be Become Gay...

I just read this hysterical article by Susie Day over at Monthylreview. You must read it's a good laugh. How funny it would be if things were reversed.

(PU) A recently released study has found that heterosexuals can, with effort, become gay.  Eighty-six percent of a survey group of straight women and men were able, through various forms of reparative therapy, to transform their sexual orientation and achieve "good homosexual functioning."
Dr. Marvin Flabcock, of the American Psychiatric and Floral Design Association, conducted interviews with 200 former heterosexuals who expressed satisfaction at finally becoming "full human beings."  Dr. Flabcock said that he cannot yet estimate what percentage of the larger heterosexual population can become gay, but that if heterosexuals are "highly motivated," there is hope.  "The secret is self-hatred," stated Dr. Flabcock.  "You've really got to loathe yourself if you want to lead a normal life."
Most of the study's participants said that, in order to effect their sexual transformation, they used more than one form of reparative therapy, including support groups, individual counseling, or dressing up in monks' robes and flagellating themselves in deserted grade school restrooms.  Many of their sexual conversions were religious in nature.
"Praise Jesus!" cried a recently self-avowed lesbian, one of several study participants who agreed to be interviewed for this article.  "For years, I was boy-crazy, sin-soaked, and born-to-breed.  But my encounters with the opposite sex were quick, empty, and loveless, and I hated the decadent heterosexual culture.  Then, through intensive therapy and daily prayer, I was able to uncover a childhood trauma in which I was once yelled at and made to clean the erasers by a heterosexual math teacher.  It really screwed up my sexuality, and gave me terrible math anxiety.  But with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ, I saw that girl-on-girl action is part of God's plan for us.  I still can't do long division, though."
"Electroshock for me!" exclaimed a newly homosexual male, describing his therapy-of-choice.  "Also years and years of institutionalization!  I got pretty sick of the Thorazine and the blackouts, but Jesus helped me not to swallow my tongue.  And now, He's mighty glad I'm gay."
Some heterosexual rights groups have criticized the study, charging that its results are skewed by a Christian bias.  They allege that most of the study participants were recruited by the fundamentalist group, Cornholers for Christ, which is part of the "Ex-Straight Ministries," a coalition that believes Jesus will return to the earth as soon as everyone on it becomes homosexual.
Some of the subjects of this study, however, asserted that religion played only a small part in their sexual conversion.  "I did it to get those special gay rights," beamed a newly converted homosexual.  "Now, I can have my own nifty t-shirts, key-chains, rainbow flags.  Not to mention my very own laws that say it's illegal to evict me or fire me or beat me to death.  I never had that kind of protection as a straight person.  That's because society hates and fears heterosexuality.  As well it should."
Another study participant described his sexual transition as easy and quick.  "I was your average, red-blooded, straight dude," he said.  "But now, the very idea of sticking my male member in a chick's private part fills me with dread.  Come to think of it, sticking my male member in a chick's private part filled me with dread before I turned gay.  It filled all us average, red-blooded, straight dudes with dread.  Hey, maybe that's why we all punched each other in the head and called each other 'faggot' so much.  Whoa.  Deep."
Many scientists and mental health professionals believe that sexual orientation comes from a complex set of factors, including environmental influences and biological components, and that heterosexuality cannot be changed.  Priscilla Tubetop, president of the Straight People of Heterosexual Descent Task Force, disputed the study's findings.  "It is a known that that straight people have an extra fatty deposit in our heads that makes us 'that way.'  I mean, no one chooses to be heterosexual -- think of the oppressive sex-role stereotypes; the idiotic dating rituals. . .  Besides, so-called experts can skew studies about the human libido to make any political or religious point they want.  Actually, our group is about to conduct a study to confirm exactly that."
Although the American Psychiatric and Floral Design Association has removed heterosexuality from its list of mental disorders, the organization admits that these recent findings cannot be dismissed out of hand.  "We don't exactly think heterosexuality is a sickness, but we sure don't mind if you want to spend five to fifty years of your life in therapy trying to get rid of it," stated Dr. Flabcock.  "Homosexuality, being the norm, requires no further analysis."

NOM Trying to trying to hide their dirty tactics in Maine...

izz: NOM is trying to get the state ethics commission to drop the investigation into their dirty little fund raising deeds in getting the gay marriage law in Maine over turned. Thy donated $1.9 million. State investigators are saying that NOM should have registered with the state and disclosed it's donor's when it passed the $5,000. mark. They don't want to reveal the names of the donors because they are afraid of harassment. Hello, if you feel you have no qualms about taking away rights from people and discriminating against them, then have the balls back it up.

This is what their lawyer Barry Bostrom is saying:

“Bostrom said NOM did not raise more than $5,000 specifically for the Maine campaign but instead took money from its general operating budget to help the Maine repeal effort,” reported the Journal. “Further, he said, the group does not want to reveal the names of donors because they fear harassment.”

You know how much better that money could have been spent say on, oh i don't know maybe helping out the thousands of families that have lost their homes during the recession, maybe youth shelters, orphanages or any charitable cause that helps people. But no they needed to spend $1.9 million to fight the big bad evil gay marriage.
