izz: Just think if John Kerry had beat that dumbass villiage idiot Bush back then, what a different world we would probably be in today. But I digress. 3 years ago Brazilian-born Genesio Oliveira was forced to leave Boston after being denied asylum in the U.S. because the federal government does not recognize same-sex marriages and had to return to Brazil not sure if they would see each other again..(Oliveira married Tim Coco in Mass. in 2005.) So fucked up!!  Then John Kerry stepped in asking Napolitano to issue a "humanitarian parole". 


Oliveria is back with Coco as of now but they are working on getting him permanent citizenship.

izz: Jaws is one of my all time favorite movies. I have it in my dvr and on dvd. I can watch that movie over and over. Every time summer starts to creep upon us, i find myself hitting the play button. I was VERY young when it came out and it is the first movie i remember seeing in the theater. No matter how many times i watch it, it still is as thrilling as the first time. It truly never gets old.


Corey Turner a reporter for NPR, did some digging and located one of the sharks made from the original mold of Jaws. Although it was not one of the 3 used in the movie (they have been destroyed, wtf?) but since it came from the same mold, it's just as authentic. Corey located it hanging in a junk yard in Sun Valley Ca. I live in LA, not to far so i may find myself making the short trek one weekend to see it for myself.

"We met at Adlen's U Pick Parts auto yard. Adlen led us through a compound of buildings, through a garage and a pair of gates until we emerged into a sea of junked cars — 26 acres' worth — and a tiny oasis of palms and loquat plants. "Definitely. It's from the same mold," he said. "It's just kinda nice to see it again after 25 or 30 years. It's amazing that it's still here."

A 27-year-old man filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles Archdiocese this week charging that the church failed to protect him from sexual abuse by former priest Michael Baker, who has since pleaded guilty to criminal charges of molesting children.
The man, identified as "John MG Doe" in the suit, alleged that Baker abused him for two or three years beginning when he was 12, while he was a student and altar boy at St. Columbkille parish in South Los Angeles. The church was aware of Baker's "dangerous propensities and tendencies as a child molester" but allowed the priest to have continued contact with children, the lawsuit alleges. The suit only identifies the alleged abuser as "Doe 4." Attorney Vince Finaldi said court filings at a later date would identify "Doe 4" as Baker.
The plaintiff is the younger brother of Luis C., one of the two boys Baker admitted molesting in his criminal case. The two brothers did not know of each other's abuse, Finaldi said. Luis C. settled his claim against the archdiocese for $2.2 million, according to Finaldi.
For church critics, Baker's case has come to symbolize the church's failings. Authorities have said he confessed to Cardinal Roger Mahony in 1986, after which Mahony, then a bishop, sent the priest to a treatment center and reassigned him to nine other parishes. Mahony has said Baker's case "troubles" him the most and publicly apologized for allowing the priest to remain in ministry.
Baker, who was sentenced to 10 years and four months in prison, has appeared before a federal grand jury investigating the archdiocese and Mahony's handling of abuse cases, sources have told The Times.

izz:This is so funny but sad at the same time. This guy had enough of his homophobic family and in the moment of a heated argument, decided to say he was gay when in fact he is 100% straight. This month New Jersey's new law imposing increased restrictions on young drivers, Kyleigh's Law, went into effect. The law, which would, among other things, require all new drivers under 21 to place a red sticker on their license plates has faced widespread opposition and civil disobedience. Concerned about singling out young people to make them targets both for police and sexual predators, opponents have described the law as dangerous and discriminatory. In the midst of this citizen revolt the US Senate is considering federal legislation that would seek to impose some of New Jersey's strictest in the nation driving standards upon all 50 states.
The STAND UP ACT is a mistake and should be reconsidered. If this bill's supporters believe new drivers need time to ease into driving then this bill should apply to all new drivers, not just new drivers under 18. If someone has never been behind the wheel of a car they don't magically become adept at driving by waiting until they are an adult. To target only those under 18 is arbitrary age discrimination.

izz: This is a bunch of bullshit if you ask me. Putting a red sticker on a teenagers license plate? wtf? Yes, that marks them for potential harassment from police or scum predators. Again, wtf is NJ thinking? I understand the story behind this law and it is a tragedy, no doubt. However now because of one tragedy, everyone should be subjected to an unfair law? Their are a lot of laws that come from tragedy's and a good amount of them are justified, i.e. Megan's Law, Amber Alerts. But this is wrong New Jersey.

Joran Van der Sloot has been captured in Santiago, Chile. Not many details were released but he will be extradited back to Peru for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez. Can't wait to watch Nancy Grace, cuz you know she will be going sick on this tonight!

Rue McClanahan passed away yesterday at age of 76 after suffering a stroke. The pure enjoyment her and the other Golden Girls gave to so many fans will live on FOREVA!. Thank you for being a friend....you know i had too!

Australian footballer Akermanis wrote an article for a news paper saying that gay players should stay in the closet and that there was one out player on his team once and everyone cleared out of the shower when he came in. He felt uncomfortable around him being naked. Think of all the men hes been naked around that he didn't know was gay.  Grow up. I mean what brush did he crawl out from under in the outback? This is just silliness, Jason come now stop embarrassing yourself and act your age.

The same-sex partners of gay and lesbian federal workers can start applying next month for long-term health-care insurance, the Office of Personnel Management said Tuesday.
President Obama signed a memo last June extending some benefits to same-sex partners of federal workers, including access to the government's Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program. On Tuesday, OPM essentially broadened the definition of relatives eligible for the program to include same-sex domestic partners of eligible federal workers, U.S. Postal Service workers and federal retirees.

I'll send it to 2 people, then you send it to 2 people, and so on, and so on, and so on.    5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE 4 tablespoons flour 4 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa 1 egg 3 tablespoons milk 3 tablespoons oil 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) A small splash of vanilla extract 1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe) Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.  Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).  And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day

Joran van der Sloot who was the main suspect in the disappearance of Natalie Holloway is suspected of killing a woman in a Peru hotel room registered in his name. There is video footage of the two of them together the previous night. WTF? knew this was going to happen again. Authorities say he fled to Chile. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this ends up like a Ryan Jenkins / Jasmine Fiore murder suicide situation. Cuz you can only get away with it so many times!

We got wind of the cast of Logo's new "gay housewives" show. And it's filled with just the fame-hungry, attractive, horrible people you could have imagined. They're all models! This is going to be a fantastic mess.
The show, which was initially called Kept, is now tentatively being called The A List and is scheduled to air on Logo sometime this fall after taping in NYC this summer. Just as we told you—and despite his denial at first—D-lister and former reality show contestant Reichen Lehmkuhl has signed up to be a part of the cast along with his boyfriend. Mike Rogers is reporting that Mark Kirk the republican candidate for senate from Illinois is a closeted gay man. Here we go again. Now his voting record for the gays is nothing even close to the bad record of the other closeted politicians such as Larry Craig, Charlie Crist and others. Kirk is actually the co sponsor of ENDA. He did however vote against the repeal of DADT. This is why Rogers outed him. I personally like Mike Rogers and believe in what he does. He has known about Kirk for a long time and has never revealed that he is gay because of his pretty good voting record. Rogers has been criticized for outing politicians but i think he has been right to do so. When you have people throwing their own under the bus they need to be exposed and taken down for the fraud that they are. It is just wrong plan and simple there is no excuse anymore.

LOS ANGELES - Police were searching Wednesday for a porn actor who they say killed one colleague and injured two others with a prop weapon during a late night showdown at the Los Angeles studio where they all worked.

izz: After promising to repeal DADT, Obama is threating to veto the defense bill voted on last week that includes the repeal of DADT because it also includes spending over 2 billion on a jet engine Robert Gates says we do not need. izz: I have never been a fan of Wal-Mart. Their business practices are shameful. Their price slashing tactics which force other mom and pop business's in the area to close, their discrimination against employees (they almost have more law suits going and paid more settlements then the catholic church...wink wink :) their shitty salaries, the list could go on. Now Wal-Mart wants to put a super center store at the edge of an historical civil war battle field in Virgina (Wilderness Battlefield). Local residents and 2 preservation groups are suing to stop them, claiming it would ruin the atmosphere. I hope they prevail. With all the other available locations, Wal-Mart needs to a super center on a historic site? So anti American. But they are just interested in their bottom line- money.

 A woman who says she relied on Google for walking directions in Utah that got her hit on a major roadway is suing the Internet company for supplying bad directions.

Lauren Rosenberg filed the $100,000 lawsuit Thursday in U.S. District Court in Utah. It also names a motorist she says hit her.

Rosenberg says she used her BlackBerry to download walking directions from Google Maps between two Park City addresses.

The Los Angeles County resident claims in her suit that the directions led her to walk through Park City on a road without sidewalks that she says isn't safe for pedestrians. 

izz: So this woman down loads walking directions, see's that there are no sidewalks on the road but continues to walk on it anyway, gets hit by a car and she sues Google? Lady your nuts. If your that stupid in the first place- well not much more i can say on this topic. Come on. Another example of these frivolous law suits i.e. popcorn lung. This should not even get to trial. It should be thrown out and she should be fined for being a dumbass.

The Baptist General Convention of Texas voted this week to distance itself from a North Dallas congregation over its acceptance of gay deacons.
The vote on Tuesday against Royal Lane Baptist Church was in keeping with the convention's stance that homosexual behavior is sinful.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – A backpacker shot and killed a grizzly bear with his handgun in Alaska's Denali National Park, officials said.
A man and woman reported that they were hiking Friday evening when the bear emerged from trailside brush and charged the woman, park spokeswoman Kris Fister said in a statement.

The man fired nine rounds from his .
45 caliber, semiautomatic pistol at the animal, which then stopped and walked into the brush.
The two reported the shooting to rangers, who restricted access to the Igloo Canyon area for fear that the bear was wounded and dangerous.
On Saturday, rangers found the dead bear about 100 feet from the shooting site.
Park officials are determining the justification for the shooting. It's legal to carry firearms in that area of the park but illegal to discharge them.

Rangers said it was the first known instance of a grizzly bear being shot by a visitor in the wilderness portion of Denali, formerly called
Mount McKinley National Park.


izz: That would be my biggest nightmare, well that and being attacked by a shark. I hope that it wasn't a mother with her cubs though, thats usually why they go on the defense. I wonder if the couple was Sarah Palin and her husband, you know how she likes to shoot anything that moves...
