My Tony Curtis Encounter…

Tony Curtis passed away yesterday at 85. A couple of years ago i was at a party in Hollywood and Tony was there. I was a bit star struck which doesn’t happen to me that often, but because he was old school Hollywood i must admit i was taken aback. At one point I was walking up to the table to get an hors d’oeuvres (bitch’s hypoglycemia was raging) when i saw Tony, He said “Hi, how you doing? I’m Tony, nice to meet you” and grabbed my hand. I stifled an laugh because how would i not know who he was, but it showed his humbleness. I introduced myself and we chatted for a bit. The entire time we spoke, the one thing i could not do was take my stare away from his eyes. The color was unreal. I was hypnotized…We did not talk about his career or even acknowledged the fact that he was an actor. We just bull shitted about everyday stuff. It was great…I will never forget that encounter…
“My father leaves behind a legacy of great performances in movies and in his paintings and assemblages,” actress Jamie Lee Curtis said in a statement Thursday. “He leaves behind children and their families who loved him and respected him and a wife and in-laws who were devoted to him. He also leaves behind fans all over the world. He will be greatly missed.”
