Gates defends military’s review of DADT

Washington (CNN) – Defense Secretary Robert Gates is pushing back against liberal criticism that he trying to slow walk the repeal of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Rather, Gates told CNN the change needs to be done in a way that does not disrupt the armed services.

You would think that they are trying to dismantle mine fields for god’s sake. “identify the challenges we’re going to face” Let me see if i can make it easier for them. Gays and Lesbians have been serving in the military since it’s inception. The only thing that is going to change is that now if they say that they are gay they will not be discharged. That’s it. Am i missing something here? They are there to protect this country and our freedom and many have died in doing so. The silliness of whether or not they are allowed to serve without fear of being fired for who they are is just plain stupid. I mean these issues are so insulting and embarrassing to our country and it’s citizens. Other countries must look at us and laugh… except for Iran, cuz those are some crazy muthafu_ _ _ _ !
