Breaking: Alleged arrest warrant for pedophile priest cover up, caused Pope to resign…

grinchIt’s always a glorious Sunday if we can pick on the Pope. In fact i think it should be renamed to pick on the Pope day. Praise Jeeeeesussssss.

There is a breaking story that the Popes unheard of resignation  actually has to do with the pedophile priest cover up rather than his statement released, health issues.

It seems that with his resignation announced, the Pope, whose given name is Joseph Ratzinger, has a meeting with the Italian President, Giorgio Napolitano on February 23 to beg for immunity against prosecution for allegations of child sex crimes. Apparently, this hastily arranged meeting, and likely the resignation as well, are the result of a supposed note received by the Vatican from an undisclosed European government that stated that there are plans to issue a warrant for the Pope’s arrest. This letter was allegedly received on February 4, and Ratzinger resigned a week later. Now, there’s no way people can ignore how fishy this is. The first Pope to resign in 600 years does so after panicking about an impending arrest and in the midst of a hastily arranged meeting begging for protection from the Italian government? .

A gay can only dream that this is true. What a blow to the scumbag catholic church if these rumors prove to be true.

Now this is a great way to start a Sunday!! :)

Update: Queerty is reporting that this story is completely MADE UP… Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

This story is apparently a hoax. There are no credible references to the content of this story that I can find. The fact that there are so many who are eager to believe this “news” speaks ill for our community as well as for all whose hatred for the Catholic church is is such that facts don’t matter. We talk a good talk when it come to others spewing hate toward the gay community, but stop and reflect on how we do the same to them. There is justifiable anger toward the RCC and legitimate demands for accountability but using unsubstantiated stories to further our cause is irresponsible.

Whether this story turns out to be true or not is not really why it was posted. it was more tongue and cheek. And lets face it, most stories that become factual start off as unsubstantiated. The catholic church has well earned the ire and backlash they now get from the LGBT community for the awful things they have done to gay community. There is a lot of blood on their hands. All though i do believe that rising above to another level is the best way to advance the fight,In certain cases there are times when “killing them with kindness” should be left at the door. For all the shameful, hate driven, and vile things that they have done to the gays, our little jabs from time to time could never come close to measuring up to their mountain sins ;) thanks for commenting.

A gay should not dream for arresting the pope — God forbid — we will be blamed and only us — it will set us back for decades.
