Like I said before, don’t get your hopes up. The BS (yes pun intended) decided to wait till May to make their decision on wether to end their hideous anti-gay policy and allow gays in the organization.
After being inundated by petitions, emails, and phone calls, the Boy Scouts of America have delayed making any decision. The group’s board, which had been considering repealing its ban on gay scouts and troop leaders, said it will instead wait for a national meeting in May.
“After careful consideration and extensive dialogue within the Scouting family, along with comments from those outside the organization, the volunteer officers of the Boy Scouts of America’s National Executive Board concluded that due to the complexity of this issue, the organization needs time for a more deliberate review of its membership policy,” the executive board announced in a statement today. The group said the board would “further engage” the ranks of the Scouts before 1,400 voting members convene at its national annual meeting in May.
Can you say cowards? I am sure they are feeling the tremendous heat from both sides and are probably wishing they never announced that they were meeting this week to decide the issue. I have news for them. If they believe that delaying their decision until May will give the both sides time to calm down, they are sadly mistaken. The fact of the matter is, the BS is on the wrong side of the tide in this country. And will most likely look back on this issue with great embarrassment that they let bigots bully them.

would you let them evolve in peace, please — the whole nation is evolving — not one person, group or entity including government in this nation has not had to look at their gay attitudes stark in the face — some are coming along quicker than others — they are not cowards — they are simply perplexed. All heteros are — don’t you know? Don’t worry — they’ll come around — every sector of society will come around, including one day fundamentalist Christians — in this I have faith — but I can’t badger people in the meanwhile, or I shall be quite a busy fellow.
