Another day, another Chick-fil-A…Now that Chick’s president and owner finally admited that the company is against gay marriage or i should say “guilty as charged” The company is trying desperately to down play his confession and states that they treat everyone with dignity, honor and respect, even if you are a mo’.  However here comes the back hand: they adhere to strict biblically-based principles…

Note to chick: denying someone of equal rights is not respecting, honoring or treating people with dignity. It’s called ignorance, bigotry and discrimination…That should be your new statement. 

In a statement given to CNN by its vice president for corporate public relations:

“The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect — regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender,”  ”We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 Restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.”

Well i guess they should have informed Dan Cathy about it. And what about the little issue of $2 million dollars that the company has donated to anti-gay groups fighting to keep gay marriage illegal? That’s not leaving up to the government so much now is it?

However Cathy is not backing down. He is actually reveling in the fact that he hates the mo’s. His twitter has been abuzz with some bigots congratulating Cathy for sticking up for “traditional marriage.” “Way to go @dancathy!!” one wrote.

“Thanks Ike,” Cathy tweeted back. However apparently the tweet has been taken down. Why bother now? The bigot is out of the closet and there is no turning back now.

Here is the rest of their pathetic statement.

“Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company serving the communities in which it operates,” the company’s statement continued. “From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business. For example, we believe that closing on Sundays, operating debt-free and devoting a percentage of our profits back to our communities are what make us a stronger company and Chick-fil-A family.”

And finally  Cathy appeared on the Ken Coleman Show, (bible beater Radio host) where he said “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,’” Cathy said. “And I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.”
