First Douchebag of the Day of 2012: Rick Santorum, Wants to make all gay marriages Invalid…
Nothing better then starting off the new year by giving this asshole the first douchebag of the day title to Santorum. To be honest, this guy is nothing but a piece of shit.
Note to Dick: Marriage is not about having children. Not all couples have children you idiot. I would be mortified if I was one of you kids. Having such a douche like you for a parent…She’s feisty today…
In a recent interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd, Santorum explained that not only would he support a federal constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, he supports invalidating all currently legal same-sex unions:
SANTORUM: I think marriage has to be one thing for everybody. We can’t have 50 different marriage laws in this country, you have to have one marriage law…
TODD: What would you do with same-sex couples who got married? Would you make them get divorced?
SANTORUM: Well, their marriage would be invalid. I think if the constitution says “marriage is this,” then people whose marriage is not consistent with the constitution… I’d love to think there’s another way of doing it.
He went on to claim that “same-sex couples can contract for everything” except government benefits and compared the loving marriages of many gay and lesbian couples to having a friend or an aunt.

The idea is so preposterous as a legal concept that I cringe at the stupidity — it shows the man is not fit to be dog catcher. The gov’t can’t just abrogate or invalidate contracts between two people — it’s an ex-post facto law, and it’s a Bill of Attainder. And BoA’s are themselves clearly unconstitutional by name. The farce of this man gross. Oh, so he’d love to find some other way, eh? What? Just shoot gay couples.
This man, and his ilk, are pushing a constitutional crisis over gay marriage that will be quite a theatrical thing to watch. I would think that every single last federal judge in the nation would simply invalidate the very idea the minute it was put into legal language. How utterly nuts,
